My character is a wordsmith. Words have power, and my hero uses them to fight evil. There is a long history of such warriors - no superhero comic is complete without a punch that goes KAPOW. Excessively long words can also be used to trip people and to try them up.

My character's powers have no effect against the illiterate, or anyone that doesn't speak English. Poorly structured prose will also send him into an uncontrollable rage.

My character is Lifthrasil.

Lifthrasil is always armed. Four-armed, in fact. (a slight magic accident). He's a barbarian and fights with humongous weapons that he wields with ease. Either oversized swords or an even more oversized hammer. In close quarters he is neigh unbeatable and due to his toughness he shrugs off most arrows and bolts with ease. Or puny things like fireballs. Or other ranged attacks. Unless they are delivered by siegen weapons - but only cowards use those!
His biggest strength, however, is that he is blessed by the gods to be a weapon against demonkind. Against all demons he goes into a holy rage that doesn't end until all demons are vanquished.
But he has weaknesses. One weakness is drink. He is unable to resist a good cask of meade or ale or stronger stuff. Also he is weak against mind magic and mathematics, since his mind isn't really the sharpest. And, if not on the battle field, he is putty in the hands of a fair damsel and there has been more than one who drained his considerable treasure without him noticing. He is happy as long as the lady that accompanies him is happy too.

I'm in for, in order of preference: My character is a dwarven sun soul monk called Borzoi, he wears a purple robe and his hair is shaved with a full beard half his height long, he hits hard with his fists and also can release searing bolts of magical radiance.
His weaknenss is that he is easily hit, because he's not that dextrous and doesn't wear armor.

Let me tell you the legend of Hazaradam

Zigm came from a long line of expert wood craftsmen. When her husband was press-ganged into service for the local warlord, he subsequently died in a pointless raid into the neighbouring kingdom. Later the local warlord sent soldiers to recruit more front-line fodder, and this was the straw that broke the camel's back for her. She set up at the pass near her town.

She slaughtered 460 men with boulder traps, 250 were caught in the pits she had prepared after. A further 160 died when she lit the pitch they had to scramble across, She felled a further 60 using every arrow in her quiver, 33 with her spear and sword, and 4 with pure rage. It was one of these 4 that blinded her in one eye, and then mortally(?) wounded her.

She was able to make her way off the battlefield and died(?) in an unknown location, creating the story of Hazaradam, or "One Thousand Men". Aside from her hometown, most people don't believe this story, suspecting rather that her town mounted a successful defense.

Regardless, I present for the fight club Hazaradam, the incredibly meticulous (but also contrarily prone to bouts of rage) one-eyed ghost rogue. Since I've written this out, I feel a reasonable amount of inspired, so I might later edit this post to add some artwork.

May I present you:

Peagor, the son of a PEZ dispenser and a cork gun. A mere 12cm tall but oh my does a certain part of him compensate for that. His strengths are that he is a quick shooter and can fire chick peas and also has an area damage gas he lets out that does some minor damage over time. Drawback is that the constant gassing makes it so that noone wants to be in the same party if they have a sense of smell... Also can easily be lured with syrup or honey as the smell is too much for his senses.

His name is Random John Doe. He is a regular geek and actually signed in because he thought it would be a virtual competition, you know, you press buttons and do combos. So he is totally unprepared, shaking his knees and about to hyperventilate.
Hopefully he can blend in with the crowd and get away from this crazy place. If he can't, maybe he'll just play dead.
His weakness is a pretty girl. When he sees one, he gets mesmerized and his instincts of self-preservation go away, so he has bumped into numerous trees, light poles, traffic lights and parked cars when staring at one.
