DRM-free approach in games has been at the heart of GOG.COM from day one. We strongly believe that if you buy a game, it should be yours, and you can play it the way it’s convenient for you, and not how others want you to use it.

The landscape has changed since 2008, and today many people don’t realize what DRM even means. And still the DRM issue in games remains – you’re never sure when and why you can be blocked from accessing them. And it’s not only games that are affected, but your favourite books, music, movies and apps as well.

To help understand what DRM means, how it influences your games and other digital media, and what benefits come with DRM-free approach, we’re launching the FCK DRM initiative. The goal is to educate people and ignite a discussion about DRM. To learn more visit https://fckdrm.com, and share your opinions and stories about DRM and how it affects you.

Koitenshin: While I appreciate the efforts, you're only listing GOG.com under Games without DRM category.
I also know of Itch.io, and the Humble Trove. Although there are probably others out there as well.
Itch isn't 100% DRM-free, it's whatever floats your boat, on purpose. The Humble Trove isn't a store or any sort of separate initiative, it's bonus games you get with your DRM-infested Humble Monthly subscription.
You spelled "DORM" wrong. Dangit guys.

Holy eff this is some laughable shit. What I find hilarious is for all this DRM-Free crap, it gets pirated as well. Hell, one can just go to a local torrent site and see all the games pirated from GoG, thus rendering buying 'em completely pointless.
Nice..

MrZeno: It might have been a good idea to have a more media friendly name than FCKDRM.

Took me a few seconds to work it out, then I LOLed. :D
look, i support the cause, but it would seem a lot more noble if you weren't using it to promote yourselves

let some nonprofit anti-drm group run this kinda thing imo

I agree wholeheartedly. Love the sentiment, wish they had chosen a more professional name.

Steam games and games employing other DRMs are just as available on torrent sites. What exactly are you on about?
Pirating didn't start with gog releases.

Oh, I know it didn't. I'm just saying for all this DRM-Free talk, it doesn't exactly stop people pirating their stuff either. So, I always find it funny when I see people talk about DRM-Free stuff as this some sort of holy grail.

VG24/7 AND some whiny French-Canadian bitch who threw a tantrum and pulled his game.

And they don't even have a nice Tuesday release to show for...

If gog really believed this it would have funded and got the descent IP from interplay. It would be funding AAA game development and buying up IP's. But CD PROJEKT doesn't want to have to risk any capital outlay.

The only way out is for hardcore enthusiasts to fund curated AAA developers via a new game funding method. Publishers have been winning the drm war, with GTA and Overwatch rolling in that mtx money, do you really think they are going to unhook AAA games from their servers when they can sell shark cards and lootboxes for basically free money to stupid people?

This initiative is bullshit. If gog is serious tell gog management to contact me I got some ideas.

It actually is the holy grail, as far as I'm concerned. DRM-free isn't an anti piracy measure. The point is that DRM doesn't prevent piracy, so stop punishing those of us that want to buy the product.
...but ...but I don't wanna have aggressive sex with DRM!

Something might fall off and I might not be able to stick it back on again O.o
