What are the chances of us getting some Capcom titles or collections of older games like The Disney Afternoon Collection (available on Steam) here in the DRM-free model?
Eventually? Maaaaaaybe. Anytime soon? Let me check Capcom's history with GOG.

2012: Released Street Fighter Alpha 2
2017: Released Dragon's Dogma

Hmmm, not good at all. Taking into account Ducktales' fate, I wouildn't be surprised if The Disney Afternoon Collection is similarly removed from Steam before it gets a chance to be released here.

and even then aren't we missing patches that Steam has?
What is the Ducktales' fate?

So, IndieGala has the Afternoon collection for 65% off or something like that.... are you saying things get taken off steam? Do you get a refund?

Ducktales remastered just got pulled from Steam. They discounted it to $3.74 before the removal on August 9th and I picked it up at that price just before it was removed. No word on if or when it might be back on sale.
So, you just lose your money/purchase when they pull it? Do they justify it as you do not actually own any games, just have the right to play as long as they are there?

It was recently removed from all digital stores:

Yes, games can and do get removed from Steam and other stores. This is especially true for licensed games (such as Ducktales and Disney Afternoon Collection). And no, you don't get a refund, but if you bought a game before it was removed, you can still play it even after it's no longer sold on the store.

they pulled it from sale, not from peoples libraries. if you bought it, it is in your library.

Ducktales remastered has been removed from sale on Steam, but it still exists in my account (and the accounts of everyone who bought it, I assume). I just played it today, as a matter of fact.
OK, just pulled from sale/store, but still in your account... sounds better. I went ahead and got it for $7.99 - can't beat that for six 8-bit games... and if they ever get to DRM-free, If I like them enough, I might buy them.
