"Public" isn't the default setting.

Go to "Orders and Settings", then choose "Privacy" and change the setting to public.

Okay, how did you do that? Every time I've tried to create placeholder posts, it just tacks it on to the end of my previous post as an edit :-(

You wait 10 minutes between posts.

To prevent others from posting while I did this, every post originally read "Please do not post in this thread" and only when I was done I re-edited it to "placeholder".
