Sure. Like I said at the start, it's a nitpick. It's not like it makes me dislike any game. Lack of realism in games in general doesn't really bother me usually. I think the only reason this irks me is that it's something that's always sort of in your face. It's not like the impossibly large inventory, which only exists in the inventory screen for example. Crouch walking is sort of like actually seeing all the stuff you carry on your character all the time would be.

Well, it does work (purely relating to said games and specific mod) - if you dont turn on the optional stealth and arm yourself to do the whole level at once.

After hours of transition reloads, I cleared dead city.

I'll have to get back to the mod one of these days, with more patience.

You are so right! They should finally implement all the proper ways of movement in FPP/TPP games.
A button for running.
A button for walking.
A button for stepping lightly.
A button for ducking.
A button for duck walking.
A button for crawling on all fours.
A button for commando crawling.
It's time to stop to have one button for all of those! I didn't evolve to have 15 fingers so that 7 stay unused!

And btw: Isn't it toally unrealistic that you don't have to hold your breath or control it to keep your breathing flat. I mean people really start to pant when slightly physically active or under stress.

I always assumed the characters crawled to move around, rather than crouch walked.

This guy nailed it out of the gate. Realism has to make way for gameplay, otherwise games are no fun. Same reason why enemies go back to their normal routine eventually even if their friends were all killed.

In recent Hitman games it's not just a visual signal you're in stealth, it also makes you much less visible. If you are sneaking up behind someone near a mirror (very common with bathroom distractions) you will get spotted if you're standing, but not if you're crouched.

I´m no expert in such things, but don´t soldiers "crouch walk" like that? For me it was always quite realistic to see this in games.

My dad was in the army, and he has told me before that yes....they did crouch like that sometimes, as well as other maneuvers/movements like crawling on one's belly and etc.

I get it. I was just promoting the channel because they are indeed quite excellent. I'm going through their "Bored" series and it is legitimately entertaining.

imo it makes perfect sense, crouching makes you less visible...when you're trying to hide in a dimly lit corner, would you try to get close to the floor or stand upright?
Granted, maybe there should be another kind of sneaking for situations where you just want to avoid making noise. But implementing two kinds of sneaking (one related to visibility, one related to noise) would be too complicated for most gamers and not much fun.
