First and last warning.
(i.e. Is anything news related to covid allowed or no?)
If it's the former, can't an exception be made just this once(For Corona related news-info only)?
(This isn't a normal situation, after all)

Yeah, covid-19 is exceptional and how on earth can you not be political around it as it attacks the very fundementals of all our lives? Anyway i have not been following too closely here so maybe some people are just over-stepping the mark.
Blame should come much, much later. We are right at the start of the chaos so probably better to focus on stuff other than blame right now? I have this interesting article looking at a possible origin for these kind of virus (beyond the bats and pangolins etc):
'Is factory farming to blame for coronavirus?':
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/mar/28/is-factory-farming-to-blame-for-coronavirus
It's worth a full read. And just in case there are any auto-knee-jerk posts based on the title alone (without having read the contents) i will post just this snippet so you maybe read the article ;)

Take flu, a disease that is considered to have high pandemic potential, having caused an estimated 15 pandemics in the past 500 years. “There is clearly a link between the emergence of highly pathogenic avian influenza viruses and intensified poultry production systems,” says spatial epidemiologist Marius Gilbert of the Université Libre de Bruxelles in Belgium.

Since Lex hasn't replied back(I hope they will at least reply and answer my questions) I can only assume/hope that is what they meant.....as it is as you said: This topic isn't a normal one and this situation isn't a normal one, and also it(by it's very nature) will likely need to touch on some things GOG normally considers off limits on the forums in order to be discussed properly.

Thanks for that.....I will read it in a bit.

From what i see, people warn that pets might also get sick from that, or at least carry it without symptoms. I can do with putting distance between me and my babies, but are they really potentially dangerous for me? And if they have that nasty stuff, will they be able to recover later?
Which he said something about a cat plague.
Don't think they can give it to you but i really don't know.

That said, I THINK cats cannot get this and you should be safe(so far i've only heard of dogs being able to get it).....though I could be wrong, so hopefully someone else can give you more info.

11 death cases here and 730 confirmed cases.
Just read that we need masks since everyone that talks basicly spits said a chinese. But we citizens can't buy any masks or disenfectants for hands since they are for medical people and they are always out in pharmacies.
I really wonder if every medical person needs a mask everywhere when there are no infected at those places.
I know it's good for precautions, but the masks are in high demand and are running out everywhere.

We (the younger generations who have not known any wars) have lived in abundance of everything, and have a tendency to take life for granted, we feel that we can be reckless because our knowledge of science and technology will eventually pull us through any dangerous situations.

The virus is driving me batshit effing bonkers. While the break from routine is fine, but the fact that I cannot move makes it a house arrest.
Watched a film 2 days ago. It's called all the bright places. If I am watching an adaptation, I avoid reading the book because screenplays often falter due to the runtime limitations of a film. Nothing can quite compare to the vivid richness of the human imagination either. The detailing is also difficult to convey over to film.
I was drawn to the film because of the female lead. She looks like a crush. In fact, the resemblance is uncanny.

-Delving into pure politics is not allowed. If you are talking about government policy and you aren't talking directly about the virus, then you should almost certainly delete that portion of your post.
Example: "Latveria is a repressive regime." <- Don't do this.
-Talking about the situation in your area, like surplus/running out of certain supplies, is fine.
Example: "Most staples are running out in my area, and I haven't had a tissue to blow my nose in a week, but we have potato chips!"
Example: "Stores are rationing supplies. There was a stack of toilet paper, but each person was only able to buy one package."
-Talking about the mood of the people is fine.
Example: "Everyone seems pretty hopeful/depressed here."
-Mentioning what the government has done may be okay. That said, this should be strictly informational. Do not pass judgement. Be very, very careful here.
Example: "The Wakandan government closed its borders." <- I'm not going to complain. I make no promises that a staffer won't object.
Example: "The idiot Wakandan government closed its borders." <- Don't do this.
Example: "Wakanda has always had closed borders, so I don't think that's virus related." <- Borderline. Safer to avoid.
-Be civil, be polite to each other.
