It's perfectòly fine for me, and regarding the numbers 5+7, only finkleroy has 'temperature' how the trend of the list is going.
And as finkleroy said, this can be modified in the future. Any improvement can always be put in place.

I'm against editing the posts just only to avoid future discussion or misunderstanding, but I'm fine if we decide to leave it as it is and trust on the good faith of the community!

Let's go! :)

I also agree with the new rules. It seems to me that this way more people have the opportunity to have something they really want to play.
The idea of AWG43 for edited posts also seems to me interesting.
Good luck with this awesome job, finkleroy! :)
I forgot to mention that Damon18 is nice enough to keep track of who has received what. He's preparing a new spreadsheet which will be public, so it will be easy for everyone to see how close they are to their monthly limit. I'll let him explain how the spreadsheet works when he's ready to do so.

AWG43: Just look at attached pic :)
Oh, I see. Thank you!
I mostly use the "quick reply" feature of either barefoot Essentials for GOG or Adalia Fundamentals
Awesome job finkleroy
Thanks to you and everybody who tried to help.

A special + goes to AWG43 for the snapshot idea. Simple and effective.

In all honesty I don't know how this giveaway "lived" without this so far. xD
On a humorous note, it would be nice to have this data to create some "Hall of Shame" list where the biggest grabbers get some lovely award like let's say a three months ban from the giveaway. Muahahahahha! xD

nah, but it will be a useful tool so we won't have to search manually to the beginning and end of the month to see how close we are to the max limit; to avoid bitter feelings, perhaps only Finkleroy should have access to it?

This is a fair point. Currently Damon18 and I are the only people who can see the list. If anyone's unsure of how many games they've been granted this month, they can always check their message history with me. That said, I don't tell you in chat if the game is daggered or non-daggered, and if you don't mention it when you request it, there's no way for you to look back later and figure out how many daggered and non-daggered keys you've received that month. You'd basically have to keep track of it the way Damon18 has been doing and will continue to do, so it makes the most sense to me to make the list public. What games you've been granted is already public information; anyone can search through the thread to find out what games everyone has been granted. The list will only be for convenience and to sort the daggered and non-daggered keys. What does everyone else think about the issue of making the list public?

I think this is a good measure to make it clear how close we are to their monthly limit, so I don't see the problem of making the list public.

and here we are to explain how the request tracking will work:

this is the model of spreadsheet that will be in use from September 1st, as finkleroy announced:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1lRrcmT1F8iqZnNrzRSsy8Vj_vMQrd0_OOfr4Lk0OijI/edit?usp=sharing

obviously there will be a new sheet every month

The names are in alphabetical order

The names you find here are just names of people who already requested something in the past months and it's like that just because I've reused some templates, but don't worry if your name is not there it'll be added as soon as a request is granted

The green columns you see are the counters for each person, when a game is granted, if it is from the current update/round the counter will raise to 1 in column B (or the one who refers the round in progress) and get coloured in yellow
At the bottom the same will happen for daggered games

If the requested game is instead from the main list will be added in "MAIN List Granted Requests" section, and reaching the number of 5 the counter cell will became yellow as well as your name
The same will happen for the daggered game section, where the counter and name will change color reaching 7

'll add besides the granted titles also the links to the post of the granted request (yes I'm crazy but it will ease the tracking of a specific granted request for future reference)

here it is just an example of some compilings (be patient for the fantasy of the titles used :) but it's just an example):

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1djOQ4IZr0p8ULkDe_D3cExGEsQaHdfZUR3sMWoUrvBg/edit?usp=sharing

In case of multi round as specified by finkleroy, the first 2 columns will be grayed out (both for non-daggered and daggered games) and not compiled anymore, and 2 new columns will appear with the specified round value (n+1) where new granted requets from the update - here it is another example:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kvnPJb5ORVV0AhqOOshZnbDrvpXJ2yM-GPB5ZIkhhMY/edit?usp=sharing

I hope everything is quite clear but I think it'll be using it (in the end is just a tracking)

The 'Offical' list will be published at the beginning of each month
The old one won't be deleted and will remain browsable for everyone

Questions? Observations?
Am I missing something?

hope all this will help somehow to manage all of this
cheers!
thanks a lot, greyhat, for The Silent Age!
and of course, thank you finkleroy for running this GA.

and I'm totally agree with the new rules.
Everything seems simple and straightforward enough, both the new tracking and new rules and I'm in general agreement.

I didn't think about the editing posts aspect until everyone started talking about it; I'll refrain from editing my request posts in the future, I did so last time to include a post made just as I posted mine that was thanking me for my donation. I understand no one could verify that as-is so I'll cut it out entirely should I make another game request.
May I request Destiny 2 since it's been here for some time ?

TIA :)
Hello,
I would like to request for
140 and Mega Race 1
Best regards :)
