It seems if you are currently subbed and if you pause every month you can stay a "classic"-tier member forever.

You're welcome. I would advise doing what I do, which is pausing every single month until I have money and inclination to purchase that monthly.
This way
1) You remain a member of the classic tier, which is better in every way vs the others
2) You only purchase when you really want to
3) You save money when you don't want to spend it on HB.
The only downside is you have to pause every month.

Quite clever for them... But I don't like this new Humble Bundle politics to try to "keep me stuck to them".
I'm a "switcher" who often subscribed for the titles I was interested for, just to not throw away money for something I wouldn't ever play.
For example, and I'm only talking about my personal tastes, the June-July-August-September period has really nothing that interested me. And that's a full quarter! Almost 50 bucks!

I subscirbed back for the current and past month

This new way instead I won't have the freedom to choose again: obviously there'll be months with great game, but there'll be months with games I don't really care (or even worse I aready own) and there's nothing I can do.

And if I cancel the plan and then if there will be a month with something interesting I've to pay almost twice to subscribe back again (with 9 games instead of 10)

I see this like a blackmail, masked liked a "good opportunity" because I've to stick with them forever otherwise I've to pay much more and probably miss some games...

That sucks...
And believe me, I'm a person who really invested in his life a lot of money on games, and you can't remove me the freedom to choose

I'll think about to find other sources for my purchases

Sorry. We where bored while waiting for Finkleroy to put up new games where I donated a bunch yesterday.

I understand - I'm not upset that it's being discussed or anything, just that it seems weird to be taking focus in the thread since it's not like Humble is the only source of Steam/etc. keys being contributed to this giveaway.

It's definitely something anyone who currently pays for a subscription through Humble needs to know about (it was my understanding that the news went out through email but I guess some people might've missed it for one reason or another) though.

Yes, but you can always do what I do and pause every month (though maybe it makes sense to be active this month and next).

If your subscription is paused when Humble Choice has launched you will still be converted over to the Classic plan.
