bjgamer: I am sad to have to tell you all that B passed away last week. (I am J, his wife.) We have donated here a few times and ran giveaways together, but the Talk Like A Pirate Day giveaway was his own based on his quirky sense of humor. I am still grieving the loss of my husband and best friend and am not up to running it this year, so finkleroy has received the few codes we had gotten for it before B became sick. To those who receive these games, please enjoy them.

Very sorry to hear this. He brightened our days here at the forum and will be remembered for that.

Having lost someone earlier this year suddenly after illness, my heart goes out to you. I'm still struggling with the day-to-day realizations of them not being here and I can hardly imagine how much more difficult it would be when it's a spouse.

I remember when my mum passed....my father did his best to be brave for us "kids", but we could tell it was eating him up inside emotionally(it did for us as well, but him even more so).

As for B: I remember chatting with them a bit via PM.....we had become somewhat decent friends and I had looked forward to chatting with them again, but sadly it was not to be. :\

My condolences ! I won a great game from him when he hosted a Halloween GA in 2018 (link). He was a nice member of the GOG community and a generous and reliable person. He will be missed !

Deepest condolences :( I'm very sorry for your loss... we'll all miss, but remember fondly, his presence.

It’s hard to believe this...

B was a nice person, friendly and generous to fellow members, and I think we share similar love for strategy games. I received some good ones from him and I really enjoyed them. Thanks again for you two. May he rest in peace.
