MarkoH01: I would like to nominate TheHexer_pcg for Aquaria. He recently asked me if I know some (mostly) relaxing games that also take some time to finish. Looking at this list I thought it might be what he wants.
As I'm not really holding out any hope for acknowledgment from him any more, this is to let you know that the nomination was accepted and the game redeemed. :)

That game isn't on the list. Please familiarize yourself with how this giveaway works by reading the first two posts in this thread. The forum search function and Google are both terrible ways to tell how much recent activity you have on the forum, but unfortunately they're the only tools I have at my disposal. According to them, you don't seem to have much recent activity on the forum, so you don't really qualify for the giveaway yet. Please take some time to familiarize yourself with the forum and make some meaningful posts and/or tell some jokes here and there in threads that aren't specifically for game giveaways, and before you know it you'll be eligible. Please familiarize yourself with the rules of this giveaway, which are located in the first post of this thread. In the meantime, someone in the community gifting thread might be able to help you out. The only way to fast-track the qualification process is to donate some keys. I'm just trying to make sure you're not only on the forum to get free games. Donating isn't mandatory, but it's a good indication that you're not just here for free games.

Oh, so he did not thank you for the game? I am sure that he just was not aware. He told me that finkleroy contacted him and asked me what this was all about so I told him. However I did not tell him that it is courtesy to give out a thank you as well. Will remind him and I am sure he will either contact you or post here. I am sure it was not intended.

Eh, it happens, and I'm not too bothered by it - I also noticed that he doesn't generally participate in this thread, so isn't aware of the customs. I'm glad he contacted you at least - my message was mostly a courtesy to you in the assumption that you didn't know, and to any hypothetical viewer who was holding out in the hope the game would still return to the list. :)
I'm very sorry that I haven't posted it yet.

Let me ensure you my thanks to finkleroy and gogtrial34987

Cheers.

No worries, and you're very welcome! :)
If you've started playing already, I'd be interested in any initial impressions... :)

This just reminded me of something that happened to me.

I once confessed to a teacher (I deeply respected) about a pet peeve of mine. I told him that I just couldn’t stand it when I would politely keep a door open for people, and they would just walk by without saying thank you or even giving me a nod of any sort.

The pearl of wisdom came out of his mouth almost instantly, he asked me:

Why do you keep the door open for others? Do you do it because you are waiting to hear them say thank you, or do you do it because that is something you really want to do for them?

I remember those words being enough to make me do some fair bit of introspection...

That introspection also helped me realize of how I was being rude to others in different circumstances (possibly daily), without me being aware of it. Sometimes out of my own ignorance, and sometimes out of simply having too much on my mind that I myself would forget to say thank you to someone, and perhaps would only remember later in the day out of pure coincidence, but when it was too late.

The moral of the story for me is that to this day, I still keep a door open for others, and it still bugs the heck out of me when they walk by without saying thank you.
May I ask Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire - Obsidian Edition please?
