The forum search function and Google are both terrible ways to tell how much recent activity you have on the forum, but unfortunately they're the only tools I have at my disposal. According to them, you seem to be new here, so you don't really qualify for the giveaway yet. Please take some time to familiarize yourself with the forum and make some meaningful posts and/or tell some jokes here and there in threads that aren't specifically for game giveaways, and before you know it you'll be eligible. Please familiarize yourself with the rules of this giveaway, which are located in the first post of this thread. In the meantime, someone in the community gifting thread might be able to help you out. The only way to fast-track the qualification process is to donate some keys. I'm just trying to make sure you're not only on the forum to get free games. Donating isn't mandatory, but it's a good indication that you're not just here for free games.

If there's no more updates coming and I still have my 1 non-daggered game coming, i'd like to humbly request Star Wolves :)

(It reminds me a bit of Freelancer, and I love that game)
At the risk of catching heat for it, and realistically knowing that finkleroy has updated regardless, I can't help but consider the reality where that one "oops, that was an accident" unnamed user netted the thread a moratorium on updates until all people involved can come to an amiable resolution.

The truth is more likely and as simple as no updates = no new donations sent in, however and not some "one among you wrongs the thread, so now you all will suffer the consequences" deal.

Granted.

TheMonkofDestiny: *snip*
The only thing that's changed is that I made clearer the wording of rule #9, and added the note that there will be no more second chances. I add games/DLC to the list of available games as soon as I receive them, unless the donor asks me to wait until a specific date or time.

My bad, I mixed this thread up with the non-gog one(which has update rounds)....sorry for that, all. :)

I don't doubt you, which is why I tried to get funny with the "two realities" bit. For what it's worth though, in the "bad" reality, I'd imagine your counterpart goes by rinklefoy. In the wacky reality, krinklefry.

Now I'm craving some crinkle-cut fries. Thanks. :/

Regarding the few games on the list ...

This is the GOG community giveaway which means that games are often gone seconds after they have been donated and that is completely normal. Depending on the timezone you are in you migt have the impression that the list is never changing and that's completely normal as well. This only shows how many still love to get GOG games and that is not just normal it's actually a good thing :)

... and whenever you think the list should offer a bit more change you can always donate a game and see how this magically happens ;)

This is a good point...in fact if there are some sales going on next month I likely will be sneaking a few games from them to send this thread's way(fingers crossed) to make some "magic" happen. :)
Well, we really shouldn't get used to the February situation. This is more normal, and it's just fine :)

Yeah..I've been following this thread for a few months now, and Never seen any new games posted.
Until they were gone, that is.
I'm obviously grateful for and respect finkleroy who manages this thread and the work that goes into organizing and displaying the gifted games, but if there's another person willing to co-manage it, based somewhere centrally in the Eurasian continent, maybe the rest of the world would feel happier participating. Both in giving and getting games. ^^

finkleroy goes through rather extreme efforts to vary the times at which he updates the list of available games, and frequently that turns out to be quite beneficial to Europeans. There've been quite a few mornings since he took over from zeo where I looked at post 2 and saw new games sitting there, without anyone having asked for them yet. This would not get better with a co-host, and if this is really what's preventing you from donating, then I hope that this observation is putting to rest those worries.
(This last month has been pretty quiet with donations, so very little new on the list regardless of when you look, but January and February were super busy with them, so it all balances out.)

Expensive / highly popular games go very swiftly regardless of when they're added, and there might be a bit of a feeling among some people that they should try and get a game from this list pretty much every month, rather than letting games linger a bit to see if someone else would like it more - but that's I think an unavoidable fact of the current rules. Everyone who doesn't like those rules is free to set up a different giveaway with different rules. :) (Personally I think these rules are the very worst, except for all the other rules that have been tried. That is, they strike a decent enough balance between making it workable for finkleroy and fair to everyone else.)
