If it's the same person, it might be good to apply the "Once is a mistake, a second/etc. time is deliberate" adage.
Back in the times were the community was great, sometimes it happened that people redeemed the whole list of games by mistake rather than only the one they asked for.

I have three cases in mind: twice, the person who redeemed the code asked support to convert the games redeemed by mistake into a spare code, and support did just that; the other time, the person apologized and donated back the games after re-buying them at full price. Good times.

So, there's really no excuse. I doubt who redeemed more than they asked did that in good faith.
Hi!

I've been following this thread for a while but never wrote anything...

I'm sad to hear about the abuse...

But I have a noobie question about gifting as I'm a bit new to this... I've only gifted a game once to a friend and had his email... But If I want to buy a game and donate here, is it possible to buy a gift whithout a giftee email?

Greetings!

You need to enter your own email to receive gift codes. (:

Is there a way to buy a game which one doesn't own, as a gift? Because, if one doesn't own the game, the store only offers the game to be bought and linked to the account. At least I can't find the way to do it. I am curious about this.

EDIT: Nevermind, I have figured it out.

Yes of course. You add game to cart and then there in cart is a button called "gift this order" and once you press it you put your own email there.

edit: That's bizzare. Could you perhaps make some screenshots on what do you see? (just censor private data from them)

You can. I gifted a roommate some Ys games for Christmas. I only did it the one time though, so I can't detail the process.
I got it. I never paid attention to that when I made purchases.
Wait don't you need to wait 24 hours for buying each gift game except the first?
Since GOG has limits on that i think.
I do understand that a key can contain several games and only the games should be redeemed that was mentioned in a key..

It's 24 hours for each gift copy of the same game. You can buy multiple gifts in one sitting if they are all different games.

The limit prevents buying multiple copies of a single title over and over again within that time window. In the instance being discussed, it appears to be cases where someone has bought a cart of multiple games all as a singular gift, which in turn allows the selection of what can be redeemed via the gift key they're all attached to.

Unless I've misinterpreted what you're asking there.

(edit: Nevermind, Doc0075 said it better... and 5 minutes ahead of my slowpoke self at that)

Ah thanks didn't know it was like that.
Hmm, not sure if I understand what I heard from you guys well, but it sounds to me that the one who redeemed more than what they were granted can totally ask the support to fix the situation by converting the game(s) back into a code (according to Enebias)? That sounds just the right thing to do: if they do that, then the mistake is fixed and they’re proved innocent, and everyone’s happy; and if they’re just not willing to, then their intention is proved and no more guess is needed thus maybe a ban is due.
Or did I miss anything?
