MarkoH01: I don't dislike such people, I dislike such behaviour. It's a tiny difference but I want to point this out. I don't know the user so I won't judge him as whole.
I get that and I wasn't trying to "chastise" you or anyone else ITT before with my words(I was mainly just musing how I felt on anyone who wanted or seemed to want to give games for thanks in general & how I felt thanks shouldn't be mandatory)....so if you felt I said anything offensive then I apologize.
MarkoH01: I don't want it to be a rule and it was never my intent to force someone to thank anybody. All I was saying that it is sad if people don't even thank others for a gifted game and that imo is a simple fact.
Agreed, and it seems that individual doesn't like to thank & you had better cause than I thought to be concerned.
MarkoH01: You cannot buy anything for a "thank you" so why should there be any motivation to get "thank yous"?
You'd be amazed how many times i've seen on other sites(not here, of course, that i've seen, but elsewhere) people will give out games or donate money to places and do it in a "public area" of a site to brag about it and get thanks/praise/etc.
Some(elsewhere online) seem to thrive on that sort of thing, it seems.
MarkoH01: However NOT thanking somebody if you got gifted something is simply not nice and that is all I ever wanted to say.
I got that..I was just(as I said) stating how I feel on people being forced to thank in general and other musings based off of the topci you brought up & my feelings on such.
Again, if my words offended you or anyone else I apologize as that wasn't my intent.

Makotolia: IMO the point Marko made is simply that,
on the receiving end, it’s not nice for one to not even give a quick thanks. It’s just this simple, nothing more, and doesn’t really involve much about the giving side or even the GA rules. I may be wrong.
This may hurt but, I think we, as humans, tends to react too, hmm, early sometimes, before fully understand the situation, thus making our replies (to Marko, in this case) less effective, and even resulting in unnecessary quarrels. A common case between my parents.
Not intended to embarrass anyone, just some recent thoughts of mine regarding communication between people. Welcome to ignore me :)
You and Marko made some good points and I agree wholeheartedly......well said. :)

Lone_Scout: I did something similar once with another user and now he doesn't forget thanking donors anymore...
A gentle "nudge" like that also seems like a good idea and more preferable to other being forced(in general for any reason, I mean).....good idea. :)

MarkoH01: No, you are not wrong that is absolutely what I wanted to say - nothing more and nothing less. Thank you.
Now that I've expressed my feelings and received some replies we probably should move on. I really don't want to derail this any further than I already did (which also was not intended)... so please finkleroy and all accept my sincere apologies for derailing this thread at all. Please, continue the requesting/gifting.
You're right....I will also be moving on as well(no need for anyone to reply to this if they want the thread to carry on past this topic....I just wanted to reply a bit to some of you who made good/interesting posts). Have a good one. :)
