Persival2207: hey finkleroy, hows it going?

can i request the witcher enhanced edition as daggered game?
avatar
finkleroy: Granted.

I was going to add a new rule that if a donor sees that a key hasn't been redeemed within a week after it was granted. they can notify me, and I'll give the recipient a nudge, and if they don't redeem the key after four weeks, it'll be returned to the giveaway. What does everyone think of the timing? I want to give people some leeway in case they're busy or forgot, but I also want to make sure they're not requesting games they have no intention of playing, or even worse, intend to trade or sell.
Agreed.
I hope those cases are rare enough to not bring you too much extra effort.

Four weeks for the whole process is too long.
If a user is there to request the game they are there to redeem it.

One week for donor notification is ok, but anything more than an additional week after the nudge is just unneeded overextension of already generous time frame. If a user is going to do something shady it just gives them additional time to grab another key (with monthly reset).

Rules are there to protect the good will of people behind this giveaway and I see no reason why they should be lenient.

cardangrille: Thank you very much to Korotan and to finkleroy for Dungeon Keeper 2!
Your welcome. I hope you will have more fun then the last giftee.

CactusSmacker: Awesome stuff

Shout out to Sir.Tomato for donating that, so thanks as well
Time to eek out my data cap for the month!
Always :).
Nominating gixgox for Downwell
xD
May I have EVERSPACE for January? Until now I had assumed it was a sci-fi 4X game but I watched reviews and it's actually an action roguelike!

I stick to what I said, a week should be for everyone, both nominees and those who request. Besides, this is the minimum time, since it's the donor's choice whether they notify you or not, so you can say that if notified after less than a week you will nevertheless wait out the week, but after the week passes, as soon as the donor notifies you, you'll consider it unredeemed, making it the donor's choice how long the deadline actually is.

I agree and also I think one week could be the days limit for redeeming the key before it's returned, and it's plenty of time. I find 4 weeks an excessive time. Not redeeming in a few days makes you think they are trying to trade or sell.
May I ask for

Downwell

as January game?
Nevermind, Gog bears stopping me adding an attachment.

mrkgnao: If I may, I'd like to nominate PainOfSalvation for "Hard West: Scars of Freedom (DLC)" for January [he already owns the base game].
Thank you mrkgnao but i cannot accept it. As i've said to finkleroy on PM, you should put my name on "No Nominations For Me Now" list. I'm grateful to be part of this Community, keep being awesome guys.

Understood.
I am thorn if I shouldask for Her story. I got it already with Twitch Prime Subscription but it is worse then Epic Games Store whith having to be online all the time to play and there is not even Cloud Save (learned hard way with Pillars of Eternity). On the other hand this is not a game where you really need Cloud Save and so I save it for those that got it not already.

Oh I think I understand your feelings. I was torn these past days if I should ask for one of the thief games, ‘cuz I own them on Steam already, but Steam has officially cut their support for Win XP and I’ve seen some cases in which even some of the devs seemingly unnecessarily remove compatibility for XP of their games with updates.

As for your case, IMHO, just get it. Considering what you have done to spread the love of the Stronghold series, maybe, surprisingly, YOU will be the one who donates another Her Story key one day should the interest rises:)
Since PainOfSalvation doesn't want the Hard West DLC, may I have it instead, please?
