biixiid: hi all and host.
i'm new to gog, but already claimed some games thanks to your official giveaways.
and recently i found out this thread and tried to understand rules.
there are 4 lists of keys in post 2 and post 3.
1. Non-Daggered Keys
2. Daggered Keys
3. Taken keys
4. Frequently-daggered games
so my question is
- all these lists are available games? Or only list 1, 2 are available and list 3,4 are just for logs of already given keys in the past?
- what daggered key means? literal meaning of dagger word is a kind of knife. right?
- May i raise my wishlist of game despite being new in the forum?
- Possible to ask a game not in these lists?
thanks.
You should have read the first post since it is all explained in there:
1) Non daggered keys are regular keys somebody bought and donated for eligible and therefore active members of the community. If you are eligible (please read rules to find ouut about this) you are allowed to request ONE key per month.
2) Daggered keys are keys that were (at least) once given away for free. Sinbce they are freebies there's a lot of them available in the community and often a lot of them will be donated here as well. Therefore requesting a daggered key won't count to the one key per month limit even though you stilll need to be eligible to get one. Sometimes if a key has an expiry date even non eligible users will get such keys but it is not the rule.
3) Taken keys: those are keys that were taken in the past and therefore are not available anymore. The list is just here for information.
4) Frequently daggered games: Also a list for information to make clear if a key that would get donated will be considered to be daggered or non daggered.
- So only list 1 and 2 are available keys.
- No wishlists allowed - only ask for one non daggered key and/or daggered keys - but I doubt you are eligible since you are new and therefore probably cannot be that much active already. Post a bit in non giveaway threads, talk to others and come back later.
- No, asking for a game that's not on the list is also not allowed - that's what the list is for.
finkleroy: I never nominate users for games, but I made an exception for the Puzzlemaster.
TheMonkofDestiny: It's not the nomination (or act of) that warranted my asking that.
I'll leave it alone though because I can't articulate it better.
For what it's worth - I understand your point but then again, it happened already and everybody is happy and those who should receive a game have received it so yes.... maybe just don't think too much about it ;)
