zeogold: Apologies, I never saw it. The notification system is completely broken unless you use Galaxy, in which case, from what I understand, it's still kind of spotty.
Have you tried using the "Barefoot Essentials" user script? I've been using it since Gog took away notifications and can say it puts all the notifications back better than they were before. If you'd like try it out, you can go to the link below and follow the instructions on how to install it. Link

I just wanted to say I appreciate the work the OP does with this thread and ofcourse the generosity of the people donating the keys of the games.
While there is a game in there I'm not gonna bother asking for it since I've only started posting just recently (despite being a member on the site since 2008) and I respect the rules by the OP.
Things like these is why I'm slowly moving away from STEAM to GOG. The community here is much more friendly, helpfull, generous and most of all less toxic.

Enebias: You should have seen the place a couple of years ago... today the community is not bad at all, but back then it was awesome. Unfortunately, many good members left due to bad choices on GOG's part, especially the time when they did nothing to stop a real flood of venomous, insulting and abusing trolls. Luckily, that seems to have stopped, or at least slown down. Yet, there is still a huge difference between now and the golden age... Anyway, I hope new members like you will keep on trying to make this place better and better, even more than before! Welcome to the boards, I hope your stay will be long and satisfying! Yeah, sure was a golden age until some time ago. Even on the most relevant topic on this thread, giveaways, remember a post years back by some new user saying he lurked for quite a while, confused by all the giveaways, convinced there was a catch, a trick, users gaining something, not just simply giving away games bought with their own money to do something nice for others. That drastically dropped in recent years, due to a mix of the most involved users moving away, disappointed in the changes in policies, and many others giving up due to the trolling and scamming and abuse received from those demanding games or complaining they didn't win or what not, after plenty of those flooded in along with GOG changing its target from a nice niche to the general masses.
Eh, I'll keep ranting...

Cavalary: I'd say that most of the active old guard left, many due to changes in policies (some maybe even from the acceptance of new games, then definitely regional pricing and more recently the push of Galaxy and now even microtransactions and games requiring Galaxy). Lack of forum moderation came on top, for the general community. They do indeed seem to be at least claiming to do something about the moderating bit lately, but that goes along with the worsening of the policies part. Yes, I've seen people complain about Galaxy and other things I don't agree with most of it because compared to STEAM/Origin/Uplay this place is awesome with their DRM Free mantra and the Galaxy client being optional. I personally don't mind the Galaxy client and use it all the time... I like how it makes things easier to download and manage and don't see it as DRM but well every person has a right to an opinion and voice it.
Now if only the summer sale would start because as Reggie would say: My body is ready! :)

Hello everyone,
I'd like to ask for the game "Puzzle Agent". I'm in the mood for some simple and quiet point-and-click action and think it might be a nice fit.
Now, I am not the most active forum user as of late, I have my ups and downs. So, I wouldn't be mad at all, if my request were to be denied. :)
All of you have a nice week!

Don't want to hijack this thread at all but I just HAVE to make a little addition. You do like GOG's DRM-free mantra? We all do - but we want GOG to keep their principles and at the moment they are (slowly) walking in the wrong direction. THAT is why we raise our voice to show GOG management that we don't like the direction this goes. Now if only the summer sale would start because as Reggie would say: My body is ready! :)
Also I don't think that these people are the ones Enebias was talking about since all we do is voice our concern and we do this quite civil imo. Enebias is probably referring to those people who just like to troll in the forums, insulting others and provoke people just to provoke them. I can assure you that I am not one of them even though I do count myself to the group you mentioned above.
We do agree with the summer sale though :)

As long as they keep their DRM free motto I'm happy since, like I already said, I do like Galaxy and I hope that is also fine and both groups can get along in peace and understanding finding some middleground for both parties.

Don't drink, but a quick search says as little as 3 pounds a bottle, to convert as well. See, here's the issue, someone coming from those other places, so having found them at least tolerable, and seeing this as better, vs. someone coming to the old GOG as the only notable store that was acceptable and seeing it get worse, more like the others, which were never seen as tolerable. And for some games it's starting not to be so optional anymore. Issues with some updates too, coming significantly later for the off-line build, maybe requiring reinstall when maybe Galaxy can just patch... And now even stuff like notifications on the site no longer being on the site, but some implementation existing in Galaxy.
