Thanks to

ciemnogrodzianin and Zeo

for Might and Magic 8: Day of the Destroyer.
During the last sale it was in my to-buy-list.
But that first list was edited, and edited again and again - and in the end I missed all of the Might and the Magic.

Have fun! :)
And don't worry - there will be discount again ;) I've bought M&M series during one of the previous sales and it's still untouched in my backlog. The last offer was historically the best, indeed, but I suppose it's not the end of world's history ;) and you can expect a new bundle during upcoming Winter Sale, perhaps even better.
Thank you ciemnogrodzianin and zeogold for Heroes of Might and Magic 3. Such a wonderful game.

badon: System Shock 2 is one I would like to get. Is it still available? I'm guessing the posts get edited to remove games that aren't available anymore, right?
avatar
zeogold: Indeed, that's how it works.
I'd normally deny this one on the basis of lack of community participation, but this is a daggered game, so I'll make an exception.
Granted.
In order for me to get the game to you, you'll have to either add me as a friend or change your chat settings to "everyone" instead of the default "friends only".
OK, thanks! I think I fixed the chat settings. It should work now, with "everyone". Is there a way to view a user's past posting activity? Most forums have a feature for that, but I can't find it on this forum.

Once again, I'll make an exception to the normal rule since it's a daggered freebie. In order to get it, you'll have to open your chat to me by either adding me as a friend or changing your settings.
Granted.
I'm curious what you mean about getting your account back, though. You lost it somehow?

Sadly, there isn't. The GOG forum is, in truth, quite far behind most forums on the internet in terms of functionality. What you can do is either search the person's username or Google it with Google's "site" function.

Thank you ciemnogrodzianin for Might and Magic 7: For Blood and Honor
and Zeo for hosting

Tauto: Might and Magic® 7: For Blood and Honor is a very good game.
Care to elaborate why? I never played any game in this series, as I wouldn't count 3 hours I spent messing around in World of Xeen as playing

I just tried searching for all of my posts, and I'm horrified to discover that NONE OF THEM actually got posted. When I click the "Post my message" button, it doesn't do anything, it just sits there. Replies to existing topics seems to work, but all of my new topics appear to have been lost. There was some good stuff in there too. So disheartening. I cried all the way to the downloads page for System Shock 2.

They're not lost, the search function on the forum just massively sucks. That's literally how it's designed to work, to only show replies.
Google is typically a more reliable (albeit not necessarily as effective) method.

It looks petty sparse to me:

https://www.google.com/search?q=badon+site%3Awww.gog.com

This shows some more, but still none of my new topics are here:

https://www.google.com/search?q=badon+site%3Agog.com

At least now I know why I never got any reply notifications. GOG needs to use established, reliable forum software, and not try to reinvent the wheel. This is pretty unacceptable for software that calls itself a forum.

I'm not welcome in here but the whole series M&M thru to M&MIX (1-9 in all) were made by a great company New World Computing until Ubisoft brought them out.And that was the end of that.......They were ALL great games and for me to explain them would be three or four novels which I am not going to do.World of Xeen was one of my favorites,as was the first M&M that came out on console via, from memory Sega Mega Drive in the early 90's.

Tauto: whole series M&M
Do you recommend any particular order for someone, who don't know the series? I've played M&M6 years ago (never finished) and I'd like to play them all. The plan is to start from the very beginning (M&M1) to avoid loosing something from the whole story - is that good idea?

Oh, and I don't afraid of retro. I started Ultima series from U1 and really enjoyed the experience :D
