BenKii: You most certainly should play Planescape. Out of all the D&D games it is the best.
Well, I need to try it, but it would be difficult to beat Baldur's Gate 2 (specially the scene where you try to persuade the Beholder to open the chest; tha't my favorite of all times).

I'd still probably go with a particular sensory stone (if you don't mind some spoilers) as... at least one of the best and most memorable pieces of writing in a game. That long discussion with Dak'kon over the Unbroken Circle of Zerthimon can also be up there.

Anyway, as an article about it said, it's a wise game. Perhaps the best way to put it.

My favorite is the dragon egg where you can play many parties a fool for maximum profit.

moonshineshadow: Yep, I was already considering something like that. But first there will be something else to do. Which I'll announce tomorrow :D

PaterAlf: I like the way you do an anouncement of an anouncement. You are a true follower of GOG. They should really hire you. ;-)
LOL yeah that is very GOG of you ;-)
I was a teenager in the 80s and loved Sierra's adventure games, especially after they adopted the "point-n-click" interface (no more trying to find the right word to advance the story). But somehow, I never tried one game series from a different publisher. And the first installment of that game series is on the giveaway list. Therefore...

I'd like to request The Legend of Kyrandia (Book One) for myself.

...it's been on the list for a while now, so I don't feel bad for asking. :-)

So here the announcement that I promised yesterday :P

I thought it would be great to have a little contest inside this giveaway. So let me introduce

The bestseller contest :D

This contest is about the following games:

Age of Wonders (5 copies)
Battle Realms + Winter Of The Wolf (4 copies)
Dungeon Keeper Gold (5 copies)
Little Big Adventure (4 copies)
SimCity 2000 Special Edition (4 copies)
System Shock 2 (5 copies)
Torchlight (7 copies)
VR Soccer '96 (4 copies)

Until 11th December 12:00 CET, you have time to find recipients for these games. The community member who found the most people I could give these games to will win a game for $5.99 (or several during the sale which together cost $5.99).

Rules: Since this still is about the community aspect, there are of course some rules, even if they are not that strict. To be a valid nominee, that gog account must have been created before December 2015 and I must be able to find a post in a non-giveaway thread that contained at least three sentences (also posted before December).

Good luck everyone :D

LoL, Games that you cannot get rid of.
I haven't seen him around lately, but it looks like giofive could go for a 1954 Alcatraz adventure.

Also, speaking of not being around, I'd like to suggest that the ever-lurking Fenixp get a copy of Alan Wake's American Nightmare.

As always, thanks for the constant management moonshineshadow! I told a friend and some friends of the friend about the great forum community here. I tried to entice them to come check it out and told them about some of the games here having a bunch of keys available that tried to encourage them to participate a bit . I hope to see them sign up/stop by here and say a nice hello and stick around to become part of the community. We will see! I posted this before I saw the new contest within the GA that you just posted, too, hah!

I know a few people that I told are signed up for GOG already, but I'm not sure if they've participated in the forums much. Either way, I'm not concerned with actually working towards that contest, I was just trying to draw some more people to the forums and help get rid some of those abundant keys/especially the ones that expire. I even encouraged a few to join forum mafia because I played werewolf with them at a party.

Interesting idea to make a giveaway out of getting rid of keys you can't get rid of. XD

This will be a tall order to try and find some people. I'll see if I can't came back later with a few nominations. :)

Thank you mrkgnao!
I didn't realise there were people who kept an eye on my wishlist, and this entire thread sort of skipped my sight. So thanks to you, and trentonlf and moonshineshadow!

Out of curiousity, can I nominate someone I know outside of gog, who is a member (probably for a couple years now), but I don't think has any forum presence? Like, everyone should play System Shock 2, for example :D.

BenKii: yyahoo for Star Trek: Starfleet Academy
Wow! I feel like Sally Field... Thanks to BenKii for nominating me for Starfleet Academy, apehater for the donation, and Moonshineshadow for the great giveaway thread!

I've got some excess codes sitting around collecting dust and, looking at the current list, at least one of them is a single code that the giveaway doesn't have. I'll donate The Last Express to keep the fun moving.

Cheers!

Going through my chat to find new people to nominate (who aren't listed in The Directory), I found that Eli has Cyberia on his wishlist. I'd like to suggest this be remedied.
