moonshineshadow: Since Secret Santa is over I rechecked the old nominations and sent out a few games. Sadly many became invalid because people already got the game ;-)
Is NWN1 maybe one of leftovers? :)

HypersomniacLive: I'd like to nominate adaliabooks to pick something he fancies from the list, for his exceptional work of restoring manual sorting to our library, and adding a working import/export function to it.

Cheers, and Happy Christmas!
Thanks Hyper :)

I would like to say something to all those who were gifted/ got a game here and didn't bother to say "thanks" (either publicly or via pm); Guys, a "thank you" doesn't cost anything to write and it fills the recipient with joyful feelings.

Not sure if others agree but this is my 2c. :)

I have seen someone thanking someone else instead of original donor for gift.

Not sure if others will believe me but this is my 2c. :P

Well, at least there were "thanks" in the air! :P :D

You always make good points Vythonaut, so thanks for the reminder!

I completely agree with you and the reason might lay in the fact members have started to take the enormous and unprecedented generosity of this community for granted. It is almost as the gifts are expected of its own and not even little time is dedicated to understand how fantastic open-heartedness and cooperation is required to make everything go so smoothly and incredibly as it is. As a prevalent attitude in most individuals, it has also been displayed here and which could be summed up as "most people don't know what they have until they lose it",

But also, many infinitely wonderful human beings traverse these parts and don't shy away from profusely expressing the gratitude, which, I believe, warms the hearts of even the ones not directly involved in a particular act. Thankfully, such beings do exist and are among us, so thank you all immensely :)

Yeah, let's not get greedy :D

I think amrit referred to some situations where nominators get mistaken for donors. I have generally tried to point out the key provider where I played the other role (there were certainly some flops on my part), though you never know if something occured via chat in turn and it did not happen that often to my knowledge. But it's understandable how it may be disheartening to the ones who get overlooked and should be greatly acknowledged instead.
Thank you v3 for nominating me (and somehow guessing a game I wanted!) and a huge thanks to Big_Stupid (I feel guilty calling him that) for the generous gift! This caught me completely by surprise. I will pay it forward as soon as I have the opportunity!

Yeah I sometimes think there is some confusion because the nomination and the gifter, I try to make it clear in the chat message, but mistakes happen. Personally I think as long as people leave a thank you that is fine even if perhaps a name is wrong.

I know that I try to always leave a thank you, because I know how much it brightens my day when I'm on the other side of that equation. I would think that would be common for giftees, but I suppose sometimes things happen.

I just love seeing this giveaway continue on. It's another sign of why these forums are still standouts to me.

LOL, their nick paired with generosity puts people in a really tight spot. No matter how grateful you are, you can't escape insulting them :)

We were never nitpicky as far as I could tell, but we could also rectify unintentional slip-ups by ourselves, just for the sake of fairness.

That's right! It actually brightens my day too, when the recipient of the gift is pleased with it and shows his appreciation to the donator, nominator, moonshineshadow, sinistar etc. It's just that in some instances that i noticed, there was not a single word from the gift recipients and that left me a little, hmm how should i say it.... - anyway, left me wondering at least if they liked the present.

Anyway, I'll agree that seeing this giveaway grow bigger & bigger each passing day, brings joy to me. :)
Sage is back!
And I thought she might want "Phantasmagoria 2: A Puzzle of Flesh", given that it's on her wishlist.
Thanks for the giveaway. I'll enter for Quake: The Offering, if it's still available.

Heh, I compared her list to the Santa after-party, but you beat me to this one. :) But I second the nomination!
