Thanks, v3. Might I ask why you chose to nominate me?

Skimmie https://www.gog.com/u/skimmie/wishlist has ultimate doom on their list.

Vythonaut: Why don't you just ask for a game yourself instead of hoping someone will nominate you? Don't be shy! ;)

Klumpen0815: I've already gotten a game this month and usually don't ask anyway, the nomination system is quite nice, it just doesn't work for games that can't be added to every wishlist, that's why I mentioned it.
If I'd see one of the unbuyable games at the beginning of a month, I may be tempted to ask indeed though.

Same goes for Hotline Miami 2 and Australian people, I guess.
Nomination also doesn't work for people who value privacy and have their wishlist private. So I have to agree with Vythonaut.

As long as you are a valuable member of the community (be nice and helpful to others, perhaps even donate something yourself when you can) and aren't too greedy (stick to the one game per month rule of thumb) I don't see any problem with entering for yourself.

Klumpen0815: Jost something in general:

The things that are impossible to add to some wishlists are usually the ones those need/want most, namely Quake 2, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Quake 3 Arena and Wolfenstein 3D, for me especcially in this order.
Germans can't add them to their wishlist, keep that in mind.
I've got no way of buying or adding those, but they'd be on top.
If anyone ever wants to nominate Germans again for something in any month, it would be cool to keep that in mind, since they can still be gifted to those who can't wishlist or buy them afaik.
Before I design anything for MaGog, I have a silly question to you (or to anyone else from Germany):
Are you sure you cannot add regionally-blocked games to your wishlist?

Here are links for adding the six German-blocked games to one's wishlist. Pick one that you do not own, click on the link, then open your wishlist and check whether it's there.

"Commandos Ammo Pack": http://www.gog.com/user/wishlist/add/1207658800
"Commandos 2+3": http://www.gog.com/user/wishlist/add/1207658803
"Quake II: Quad Damage": http://www.gog.com/user/wishlist/add/1443696817
"Quake III: Gold": http://www.gog.com/user/wishlist/add/1443696086
"Return to Castle Wolfenstein": http://www.gog.com/user/wishlist/add/1443699418
"Wolfenstein 3D + Spear of Destiny": http://www.gog.com/user/wishlist/add/1441705226

Klumpen0815, or anyone else from Germany, please let me know what you find.

OK. I'll start working on a clumsy MaGog workaround. Thanks.

Another question: can you create a GOG mix that includes the six regionally-blocked games?

Yeah that seems possible, I just tested it (currently in Germany) and in the gogmix window the games are shown.
Thank you v3, Moonshineshadow and Yezemin for Consortium :) made my day!
May I please ask for Waking Mars?

I've been eyeing it for a looong time but somehow it dodged my wishlist so it shouldn't interfere with Secret Santa.

Cheers. :)

EDIT:

Big thanks to Zeffyr for providing the gift! Also, many kudos to moonshineshadow for keeping the gifting machine running smoothly. :)

Great. Thanks.

So I believe the scheme will be, for people who want to extend their wishlist with games that they cannot normally add, to create a gogmix with these titles, let me know of it, and MaGog will regularly scan these gogmixes and add the titles to their MaGog-based wishlists.

Sounds doable.

v3:
Thank you to v3 for nominating me for Morrowind, Big_Stupid for donating the game and of course moonshineshadow for keeping this going.

Feeling awkward about accepting, especially since I do have it on a (pretty badly scratched) disk, wishlisted for a DRM-free version, but now maybe this will be the kick needed for me to get back to it at some point. Started it in 2008, played for a while, then one day just suddenly dropped it and didn't pick it back up till 2012, when I just continued from where I had left off like I had never stopped playing, even if the next thing I meant to do wasn't logged anywhere... And then after a little more time just dropped it yet again, just as suddenly, and bar trying to see if the disk still could be read at some later point, I think in 2013, haven't touched it again since.
Hope my existing saves will work with this to let me continue then.

Would you feel awkward if you had Morrowind printed on a plate, cause that's about as useful as your disk when it comes to playing this game ;)
