Necross: Disney already did that anything that was not a movie or made before their purchase of Lucas Film is non-canon. Thus only Knights of the Old Republic and The Old Republic is the only extend universe stuff that is cannon
Sachys: Which is crap - the best stuff came out of the comics, novels etc.
I think there's some misunderstanding here. "George Lucas to publicly apologize for the prequel trilogies and declaring all EU SW novels non-canon, except the one where a certain major character dies." means that I want an apology for making the EU non-canon.
When I first read that last year, when it was announced, I thought it was a joke. Now all the EU stuff is called "Legends" and as seen here:
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Canon#Canon_in_the_Holocron_continuity_database was once considered C(continuinty)canon secondary only to the films and anything George Lucas had written. With the advent of the cartoons (Clone Wars) a new level of canon was developed between G(George) and C.
