500+ deals up to 90% off, $3 mystery games, and free games just for shopping.

A jocund flame swallows up the cold, cold streams of outside air. The holidays are coming, and everyone begins to feel a little more generous, a little more kind, and a little bit giddy. We're feeling it too, because this time around, winter came to GOG.com before it was cool.

The Holiday Ninja Squirrel (have you met her yet?) brings a generous surprise for all with $3 Mystery Games from the GOG.com catalog, each worth between $6.99 and $34.99. These games won't be part of the regular sale lineup, and unowned games will be prioritized to minimize repeats. We're starting out with a pool of 50+ games, but we'll be adding more throughout the sale - we'll let you know when that happens.

Finale - 2/2

eiii: ... I'm not really a serious race driver.
Me neither but I wouldn't have much fun if I found myself hugging the asphalt ever so often.

avatar
eiii: At least in Flatout 1 there's an option to switch off that ragdoll physics, but I've never used it. I can try out how it works when I'm back home later today.
Cool, that's good to know!

avatar
eiii: You can even switch off the music in the games, in both of them. :P
Inconceivable!

IAmSinistar: That would spoil the mystery, no?
Touché! :D

Out of the 6 games I bought 'randomly', half of them were unknown to me.
Have I been that dissipated ?
Come on, bring back the Star Wars packs. System Shocks have been on sale since the beginning and everyone who cares about them already has those, why keep everyone else waiting for the deals they missed on the first day?

Need to refresh before TFA.

There have been some unmemorable releases. I still catch myself going over my shelf and finding games I forgot were even here.

IronArcturus: Oh that's right. Do you remember if Rogue Squadron was in the bundle?
Sure was! I bought it. It was the only Star Wars game that hadn't been in the previous Star Wars Bundle.

eiii: The slightest bump is a bit exaggerated. It actually happens more often in Flatout 1. ;) In Flatout 2 you can drive more recklessly through obstacles. For me that's part of the fun with the game, but I'm not really a serious race driver. In both games there are even contests where you have to catapult your driver out of the car as high or as wide as you can. :)

Because of you and of playing MX vs. ATV Unleashed, I'm now waiting for the Flatout games to be on sale ! (thanks again for the suggestion) I thought about it all the day ! Hope they'll be on sale tomorrow, I really want to play the first one :) (and if it please me, even the 2)
And hope too that Realms of Arkania games will repeat !

Random_Coffee: Thanks! Bought it right now :)
A little bit late but... Anno 1602, is a very good game that I love since I discovered it on GOG ! A must have if you like this kind of games !
Someone said it was relaxing, and I was suprised that for me too, it was exactly the same. And the graphics are so pretty ! Great buy ! :D

And a little reminder of the main threads I know concerning the sale, if it interest some people :
The Winter Sale Tracker Thread,
the Winter Mystery games list
the Big winter sale clearinghouse thread,
and finally, the What's your haul ? thread.

Oh I know that feel : the (reasonnably) old packet of cigarets in the inner pocket of an alternate jacket .... *memories*

Azhdar: I hope FTL appears in this winter sale with a big discount. A must-have game for me.
IAmSinistar already tried to alert you but just in case you haven't seen... It's here, on sale ! :D
Don't miss it pal !
Anyone got anything decent from the mystery deals in the last day or so?

Niggles: Anyone got anything decent from the mystery deals in the last day or so?
It depends on what you consider decent.

Here is the list. All the bold ones were by definition seen in the last day or so, as they were only added to the pool yesterday. Quite a few of the others have been as well.

Divine Divinity: 3QJ4?6829?19?862OH

Replace "?" with the number which represents 'nothing'.

(Well, i guess by now everyone probably has already a copy of DD. But hey, it's a freebie...)

Well the thing representing nothing would be "bottom", which is signified by a upside down T :).
But bottom is not a number so I guess, we can let this slip through.

jdgicker: Boo! Like a chump, I sprang for the "Mystery Game" twice, and both times it was a Windows-only game! I understand that most of the games on this site are Windows-only, but there should still be a warning. Unfortunately, I will have to seek a refund--unless someone can tell me if it runs reliably on OS X 10.11.x with Crossover.

Lemon_Curry: It would probably help if you mentioned the title in question.
Ha! Good point. I modified my original post with the titles: "Men of War: Vietnam" and "King's Bounty: Warriors of The North"
