VampiroAlhazred: Hotline Miami 2: $4.49 (-50%)
Cheers for that.

Would anyone be willing to gift me a code for Hotline Miami 2? I could pay you back, or offer a copy of Randal's Monday, Sam & Max Save The World or Magrunner.

I have The Banner Saga in my cart. Still deciding whether I should get this or wait for Transistor. But currently I'm playing Bastion and might need a break from that type of genre. Ugh... I'll decide last minute =\
How is Shadowgate ? I remember some people here talking about in good. Is it near to Legend of Grimrock or not at all ?
Is the special edition worth it ?

And same question for Shadowgrounds : did someone played it ? Is it good ? Can you play in coop in the same screen ?

It's the first big sale on GOG, which flows so slow for me. On the 5th day and I haven't made any purchase.

I'm interested in "The Book of Unwritten Tales 2" today, but I think it would be better to wait for the encore (if any).

Just so you know, it's actually $7.49 USD in the U.S. pricing region. Uruguay must get a bit of a regional discount.

Totally different game genres.
Legend of Grimrock is a tile-movement RPG. Shadowgate is a point and click adventure, with lots of trial and error.

Special edition doesn't contain any in-game stuff, so it depends if you're interested in things such as soundtracks and art oriented stuff.

I finished the GOG version of the first game a few years ago. It was a generic action-shooter. I enjoyed it. At the price of 1.69 euros, I could certainly recommend it!

I don't know about coop though.

I haven't played this version, though I think I played a bit of the old NES version and the N64 "sequel"/whatever years later; but, if it's anything like the old one (or Uninvited, which I played a lot more of), it's basically a first-person adventure game with innumerable ways to die. Not really the same type of gameplay as Grimrock, I don't think.

EDIT: Aaaaannd ninja'd by someone who's actually played the game.

Oh, point and click... hummm... not really my favorite game genre unfortunately. Is it recommandable to people not really liking this genre ? Or is it "pure" point-n-click, with very hard and "weird" puzzles/enigmas ? (for example like the Lucasarts points n click)

Still, thanks for your answer ;)
So as I asked to vanchann : would you advice it to someone who isn't in point-n-click games ?

LOL, I can't recommend what I haven't played. =) I'd just advise you to maybe watch some videos of it on YouTube or wherever, and of course check some reviews on the game page.

VampiroAlhazred: I read that Crypt of the NecroDancer had issues running without the Galaxy client. Do you know if it has been resolved?
It runs fine here without Galaxy.

No prob', I will ! (and already have, that's why I'm considering the purchase :P)
I was thinking you were remembering well the old version you played, it seems they tried to keep the same king of "game spirit".

I have played the game and although I really love it (and by the way, adventure games are one of my two favourite genres) I cannot possibly recommend it to you as someone who is not into these kind of games.
The big number of collectable objects and spells and the possible combinations, combined with the game's obscurity in terms of what to do, will doubtlessly piss you off very soon.

Another thing you would find disturbing is the game for some strange reason running in turns, and I think even actions such as looking at objects constitute a turn. That would not be a problem (you could ignore the turns) if your character didn't get cursed very early in the game and you didn't have to find a cure within a certain number of turns, which means that you will really often have to save and load upon realising actions were fruitless because you do not want to waste turns lest you die from the damned curse. :)

EDIT: Its biggest problem is its reliance on trial & bloody error, which in my eyes is never a good thing. What could possibly be interesting about mindlessly trying things out until you get it right?????
And yet I love the damned game, although it's not unusual for me to rage-quit a game as soon as I come across a trial & goddamn error puzzle.
