500+ deals up to 90% off, $3 mystery games, and free games just for shopping.

A jocund flame swallows up the cold, cold streams of outside air. The holidays are coming, and everyone begins to feel a little more generous, a little more kind, and a little bit giddy. We're feeling it too, because this time around, winter came to GOG.com before it was cool.

The Holiday Ninja Squirrel (have you met her yet?) brings a generous surprise for all with $3 Mystery Games from the GOG.com catalog, each worth between $6.99 and $34.99. These games won't be part of the regular sale lineup, and unowned games will be prioritized to minimize repeats. We're starting out with a pool of 50+ games, but we'll be adding more throughout the sale - we'll let you know when that happens.

Leroux: Man, that stealthy sale squirrel popping up from the top of the screen is creepy. At first I thought it was a spider or a bug. :D
Click on it for an awesome surprise!

IAmSinistar: So what are folk's recommendations from today's deals? I'm going to go with the Escape Goat games and Luftrausers as providing good play value for money this time.
I liked Aarklash: Legacy a lot.

I'd go with the two Serious Sam games. Both are good stress-relieving carnage-athons, especially the second one. I'd also recommend the first Witcher as a nice RPG, even if everyone and their dog owns a copy of it by now.

I'm not falling for that. I bet the awesome surprise is that it will drop spider eggs all over the screen. ;)

I'm falling for it. I have nothing better to do. :D

Yezemin: You and me both.

CarrionCrow: Even the lulls are good. There's something about sitting at your computer, bitching and hoping and gnashing your teeth for some slow-moving piece of crap to finally get the hell out of the way, and knowing that there are thousands of people all chomping at the exact same bit, thinking the exact same thing you are.
I used to be like this - then I got married! My wife won't let me sit on the computer all day any more... :(

Thanks, I should try that one out.

I agree with these picks as well. All fun titles.
I wonder why Pathologic Classic HD isn't shown as "Owned" even in the game card, even though i have the game in my library already? Is it because I got it as a freebie due to having the original Pathologic already?

gamesfreak64: You want to remap to WSAD ? i kinda 'hate' games which use wasd as a default instead of using the normal cursors (left right up down) as default , most of the time you can redefine keys, i always stick to the cursors (to the right) and some keys to the left so i can easily use 2 hands.
cursors for movement and the left part of the keyboard to use shooting and more, this works the best in my case, been doing it for years since commodore c64,of course most of games used the joystick which was a blessing to use, ofcourse joysticks and mice arent very good for the wrists , but the ease of use is what counts :D

IronArcturus: Well I am an FPS gamer so WASD is natural to me! :P I played a demo of Terra Nova, but the controls were pretty odd. They'd used W, A, D, X and sidestep was mapped to Z and C for some reason. I was wondering if sidestep could be remapped to A and D, and if backwards be remapped to S in the full game.
FPS games?
Please except my humble apology, i did not know that ,in that case it is the best option i guess to use WASD,
cant play fps and 3d (game)motionsickness/ photosensitivity and lots of more)
WASD would be the logical choice.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Pack satisfied me but I should wait for The Age of Decadence in another sales. It will be very good if Two Worlds and Two Worlds II Epic Edition come to this winter sale.

Because GOG is GOG and everyone who used the code to upgrade their game to the HD version are having the same issue.

I HIGHLY recommend them all Escape Goat 2 may be better then the first for polish sakes but EG 1 and Luftrausers makes a good pair graphically.

I only played its tutorial. Not bad and less complex than what I expected.

So far is it kind of like Shattered Steel?

Somewhat, but with better controls and a team that you can order them to do stuff.
