500+ deals up to 90% off, $3 mystery games, and free games just for shopping.

A jocund flame swallows up the cold, cold streams of outside air. The holidays are coming, and everyone begins to feel a little more generous, a little more kind, and a little bit giddy. We're feeling it too, because this time around, winter came to GOG.com before it was cool.

The Holiday Ninja Squirrel (have you met her yet?) brings a generous surprise for all with $3 Mystery Games from the GOG.com catalog, each worth between $6.99 and $34.99. These games won't be part of the regular sale lineup, and unowned games will be prioritized to minimize repeats. We're starting out with a pool of 50+ games, but we'll be adding more throughout the sale - we'll let you know when that happens.

Finale - 2/2

The curtain is falling on our Big Winter Sale but the uplifting mood lingers on, as there is still time to have a final go at those intriguing mystery games and grab your FREE copy of Giants: Citizen Kabuto before he runs back into the wild.

Got room for another gift? Then go ahead and grab a festive wallpaper featuring a certain woodland creature, lovingly put together by our amazing art team: gogcom.imgur.com

With a subtle nod of the head, the Holiday Ninja Squirrel would like to thank you all for joining us in the heartwarming price-chopping, certain that she will see you back for all the joyful events to follow.

deonast: Yes as with most of my games on GOG, I haven't got around to playing it yet. Sadly I have other time consuming hobbies like Blu-ray buying and watching and also working.
avatar
gamesfreak64: same here, but standard DVD movies for standalone dvd player, for now no blue ray movies for me as long as the old ones are sold.
So its more buying and collecting then taking time to actually play the games :D
Yep the collecting and buying takes more time. I tend to spend a bit of time in our JB Hi-Fi stores knowing what is new, so that when there is a sale I buy more titles then it takes a week to put it all away in the shed (have to keep a spreadsheet for fear of buying this stuff again by accident).

So yes it seems the act of buying / downloading games or buying, sorting and putting away Blu-rays (and music) takes more time than I leave to play them.

If I just stopped buying I'd have much more time. Well if they ever phase out blu-ray I guess I'll go to a subscription service (all you can eat) and no more sorting required. Now if only my broadband was better, it is very borderline for streaming video at the moment and this last week has been terrible to even just browse quickly.

thecheesewheel: Is there a way of guaranteeing a particular platform-supported mystery game? I would prefer a Linux game - if I get a Windows only game is the only option to give it away?
avatar
HypersomniacLive: There's no way unfortunately. If you buy the mystery game as a gift, then you can give that gift-code away. If you buy it straight to your account, but don't want it, then you'll have to ask GOG Support to convert it to a gift code for you. Just make sure to not download it or any of its extras, or you won't be eligible.
Thanks
keeping my fingers crossed for king arthur collection to go on sale
I'm a little late to the party this time. Work kept getting in the way. Not that I planned to get a lot in the Winter Sale. I'll probably just pick up some stuff for Secret Santa and Secret Satan and that's that.

Of course, there's the mystery games and seeing how badly I caved in the Pinata sale... *sigh*
Here is another DIvine Divinity Code, for anyone who doesn't have it yet:

Enjoy!

gandalfnho: Well, bought Revenant, Sea Dogs and Venom. Codename Outbreak
All 3 of these are in my wishlist. You have great taste. :)

What? It's not like I'm biased or anything. :)

Teppic: No new daily deals? Not really daily deals unless you get them daily!
avatar
Draggon: The first batch of sales last 48Hr (rather than 24) to allow everyone to realize there's a sale going on. There will be new deals in 20 hrs or so.
avatar
Emachine9643: when is the last day of the sale?
avatar
Draggon: From the GoG post at the top of this thread....

The sale will last for 11 days, until December 13, 1:59 PM GMT / 2:59 PM CET / 5:59 AM PST / 8:59 AM EST.
Thank you

thecheesewheel: Thanks
You could always simply ask for a refund as well -- especially in the case of your not being able to play the games on your OS.
Wanted to give away these keys in a stream of a friend but nobody wanted them. I feel bad for these people who dont know what good games are. So now I post them here. Have fun and maybe reply if you were the lucky one ;)

You are welcome. Last time my keys expired because i didnt even knew they where time limited.
For goodness sake people we've been over this a thousand times.

DON'T publish your gift codes directly in the forum, it attracts code scavengers.
yes it does, but i dont care. i just wanted to get them out. still better than letting them expire

RobsonOS: yes it does, but i dont care. i just wanted to get them out. still better than letting them expire
Exactly. Almost forgot about a spare (and soon expiring) Riddick code. Thanks for the reminder.

3QJ47788F?A?E5FEMO EDIT: Gone.

Replace the placeholder with '9'.

PS: I would take a Divine Divinity code if you have a spare one. Not required, though.

I have a code for it that I don't need (already have it.) I'll send it to you in a moment.

I have two from that last sale that I don't need, so following Rise-T's example, here you go to whoever wants/needs them:

System Shock 2

replace the ? with a 3

Banished
