500+ deals up to 90% off, $3 mystery games, and free games just for shopping.

A jocund flame swallows up the cold, cold streams of outside air. The holidays are coming, and everyone begins to feel a little more generous, a little more kind, and a little bit giddy. We're feeling it too, because this time around, winter came to GOG.com before it was cool.

The Holiday Ninja Squirrel (have you met her yet?) brings a generous surprise for all with $3 Mystery Games from the GOG.com catalog, each worth between $6.99 and $34.99. These games won't be part of the regular sale lineup, and unowned games will be prioritized to minimize repeats. We're starting out with a pool of 50+ games, but we'll be adding more throughout the sale - we'll let you know when that happens.

Finale - 2/2
Of emotional good-buys.

Finding the best way to cope with harsh goodbyes builds character. But finding a way to turn the gloomy vibe around and come out on top can build heartfelt devotion. And amazing game collections.

So turn that frown upside down and come celebrate the bombastic last day of our Big Winter Sale. One surefire way to lift your spirits is to stop by our gourmet-but-totally-affordable buffet of all returning Daily Deals. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, winner of The Game Awards GOTY, is a real treat at -50%, and so are Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition (-33%) or Pillars of Eternity (-50%). You can also go for some mouth-watering point'n'clicks like The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 and Stasis (-50%), or exercise your aptitude in wielding blunt weapons as a Shovel Knight (-33%).

The curtain is falling on our Big Winter Sale but the uplifting mood lingers on, as there is still time to have a final go at those intriguing mystery games and grab your FREE copy of Giants: Citizen Kabuto before he runs back into the wild.

Got room for another gift? Then go ahead and grab a festive wallpaper featuring a certain woodland creature, lovingly put together by our amazing art team: gogcom.imgur.com

With a subtle nod of the head, the Holiday Ninja Squirrel would like to thank you all for joining us in the heartwarming price-chopping, certain that she will see you back for all the joyful events to follow.

Leroux: I love how it says "Earn Free Games". Imagine how awesome life would be if you could earn free money at work, or buy free items in stores! Oh, wait .... :D
Not the best analogy. They're not completely free gifts, true, but you're still not really paying for them specifically (although I'm aware that there are plenty of people who will buy a little more than they otherwise would just to hit the next free game unlock threshold); they're more incidental bonuses. Whereas a worker's salary or a shopper's specifically chosen products are the goals in your ironic examples, not incidental bonuses. (And if you like your job so much that you DO consider your salary to be just a perk, you have won at life. : ) )

Yes. Quite a bit of MaGog's code goes to silently fixing GOG's slips, for example adding [Season Pass] where GOG does not (quite a few games), as well as removing [Season Pass] where GOG "forgot" to remove it (e.g. Supreme League of Patriots).

Not to mention, reversing the unbundling.

EckoShy: Also, there is a certain underlying feeling that even if I'm in no hurry to play any individual game, I still enjoy just owning all the games that interest me. That way if I'm ever in a position where I am in a mood to play a particular game, it's right there waiting for me. Installed on my computer, ready to go at a moments notice. That's why I jump on the chance to buy games I have my eye on as soon as they go on sale.
You mean I'm not the only one? :D

I honestly don't even want to admit how large my backlog is. :)

Don't Worry,

If it is less than three digits, then you are not really a True Collector.

Remember, the main thing is that you enjoy it.
I have over 100 games in my backlog....

styggron: Agreed.

It should really be that you CANNOT be given a title you already own. Yes I know it is a "Mystery" but it would be pointless if you had them and you had no one to trade with or they did not have anything you wanted or no one to gift to etc.

Too much if a risk sadly :(

eiii: It also should be possible to set your operating system for the mystery games. When you are on Linux or MacOS you may end up with games which do not even run on your system. GOG, when you intend to support multiple operating systems please do it consequently!
Spot on. VERY good point !
Jesus ... another sale?
OK Shovel Knight and Her Story at an interesting price, you got yourself a real sale guys! :D

Already have Divine Divinity though. :P

Enjoy! 3QJ4C451E6B2808DGR

Hmm miss understood how the promo worked. Thought the mystery game wouldn't be listed on the checkout page (after paypal) if you owned it, so bought two I did until I realised I owned the second and checked my email and there we have gift codes.

So without further text. Here is a game for someone.

Yeah... Ever since the "Luck of the Irish" sale rewarded those who cheated the system and harshly punished those who didn't, I don't do your "random" sales, GOG.

Maybe I'll find something in the other items that will catch my eye, but not something that will effectively be a waste of money most of the time.

Your welcome. As they say sharing is caring, and neither is hoarding gift games you own :)

yup, another great sales

the current selection has some excellent games in it, i have at least 24 of these, i have some which are in a bundle and i also have a lot of single games that are on sale as a single game.

edit: i have 30 games of the current batch, just counted them.

So i am looking forward to the next batch, maybe there will be some games in it i dont have yet.

Yes as with most of my games on GOG, I haven't got around to playing it yet. Sadly I have other time consuming hobbies like Blu-ray buying and watching and also working.
