500+ deals up to 90% off, $3 mystery games, and free games just for shopping.

A jocund flame swallows up the cold, cold streams of outside air. The holidays are coming, and everyone begins to feel a little more generous, a little more kind, and a little bit giddy. We're feeling it too, because this time around, winter came to GOG.com before it was cool.

The Holiday Ninja Squirrel (have you met her yet?) brings a generous surprise for all with $3 Mystery Games from the GOG.com catalog, each worth between $6.99 and $34.99. These games won't be part of the regular sale lineup, and unowned games will be prioritized to minimize repeats. We're starting out with a pool of 50+ games, but we'll be adding more throughout the sale - we'll let you know when that happens.

Finale - 2/2

You can also go for some mouth-watering point'n'clicks like The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 and Stasis (-50%), or exercise your aptitude in wielding blunt weapons as a Shovel Knight (-33%).

The curtain is falling on our Big Winter Sale but the uplifting mood lingers on, as there is still time to have a final go at those intriguing mystery games and grab your FREE copy of Giants: Citizen Kabuto before he runs back into the wild.

Got room for another gift? Then go ahead and grab a festive wallpaper featuring a certain woodland creature, lovingly put together by our amazing art team: gogcom.imgur.com

With a subtle nod of the head, the Holiday Ninja Squirrel would like to thank you all for joining us in the heartwarming price-chopping, certain that she will see you back for all the joyful events to follow.

Konrad: We're looking into this right now, really sorry about the bug or whatever it may be. Stay tuned for an update!

TopDollar: I just want to report the same error, if it's of any use.
Another one. Have emailed my receipt number to support.
I just bought Rebel galaxy and I'm currently downloading it. Is it automatically updated or do I need to download patch 1.8? Thanks in advance

Just did that. Downloaded the main game and the 1.07 patch. That should be sufficient.

IAmSinistar: GOG has admitted that the ninja squirrel is female, so any proper name will have to suit her. I suggest Risuko the Kunoichi, since Risu is Japanese for "squirrel", and the -ko suffix denotes a girl.

Yeshu: Ritsuko-chaaaaaaaan!!!!!!
I like that! Ritsuko definitely flows well, and it still retains enough of the pun-based name.
I'm torn. I don't know which to get between Divinity: Original Sin, Kerbal Space Program, or Trails in the Sky SC. I'm allowing myself one of them, but they all look so good.

seaspanky: Why is the GOG Winter sale starting so early this year, and why is it stopping halfway through December?

synfresh: One word -- Steam.

http://www.shacknews.com/article/92219/steam-autumn-and-winter-sale-2015-dates-reportedly-revealed-lacking-flash-and-daily-sales
aha :D
steam can sale whatever they want, as long as 90% or more of all their casual games need steam actively installed
they wont get much from me, maybe when they are 99 cents at most :D
Then its worth taking a chance and see if it will run without steam once downlaoded and installed under my XP.

i have old xp with steam so i install under win xp partiiton on same pc.
No way i will ever install steam on any new windows.
If more casual games would also run without the steam (only a few casual games do run without steam)
the i'd be buying more casuals, but, 90% of the casuals dont run without steam, besides, i have 70% of all the older hidden object games ( games till 2014) already drm free.

How does Rebel Galaxy compare to Starpoint Gemini 2?

true, but Divinity: Original Sin and Kerbal Space Program are completely differnt games
first one is a rpg if i am not mistaken and the second one is a simulator or something.

If you want action then i guess you be better of with Divinity: Original Sin.
If you want to think more : Kerbal Space Program.
Nice Sale. I'll grab a few more wishlisted games but i'll limit myself to spending 20€ max. in this sale. :D
