Yes i just found out you have to scroll down to see the "get it for free" banner :)
Oomph! That was quite a long scroll!

HunchBluntley: I have found this very useful for comparing/learning time zone differences (rather than simply converting from one time zone to another).
avatar
Splatsch: Really useful :D Thanks !
But I was particularly lost with the mix of GMT/ECT/Winter time. Now I think I have understood : GMT is simply time from England (which doesn't seems to have winter time?), and ECT is the GMT adjusted with winter time. If I'm correct. And with this map, it's really easy to compare !

timppu: So, do we next have a Christmas Sale, right? Hopefully followed by a Gigantic New Year's Sale?
Doubtful. That's most likely it for the big sales this year.

i am still playing this alpha demo of Underrail

i am watching for: Underrail

This item will be available for download on December 18, 2015.

I am very curious to see what it will be like, the finished version, it looks like a fallout classic 'clone'
but it is quite different, my main 'concern' are the flashes/explosions and other photosenstive effects the game might have compared to classic fallout 1 and 2, i already asked in steam forum if there would be a way to have a on/of button or a way in a settings /ini file like Xulima has done.

They allowed for on/of using a settings file
(lightning can be disabled in that file) allowing me to get past the princes area where there are lots of full screen lightning storms.

All that extra effect stuff, like ambient glowing dungeons arent beneficial to my eyes,
cause in my unique case less is more :D
regarding irritating effects that arent good for my photosensitivit.

UnderRail requires a minimum screen resolution of 1024x768 or higher., so that would be it for me, no higher possible for me cause i cant work with the new (led, plasma, etc etc etc ,screens, I have to stick to CTX monitor as long as possible.

Anyways i can only wait and see what might be possible.

Splatsch: So that's why I wasn't understanding all of this... Even Great Britain is using Daylight Saving Time, and isn't always on GMT. What a mess XD
Confusion, that's the result when people (I'm looking at you GOG :P) still use as a time reference instead of the [url=https://www.timeanddate.com/time/aboututc.html]international time standard UTC. ;)
Which one of the Anno games should one pick up out of the three on GOG ?

Ooooh... So the "real" time reference is UTC ? I remember seeing this acronym several times... I'm beginning to understand more and more all of this ! (which is a good thing)

Depends of what you're more interested in. I only mainly played 1602 for now (the first one), and only quickly tried the few others. But from what I read, each one has different pro/cons, and isn't exactly the same.
First one, 1602, is really great, and if you like the graphics, I would suggest you to begin here, because it's easy to get into. Mechanisms are easily understandable and gameplay is very enjoyable, despite some flaws and limitations.
Second one, 1503 is most "advanced" for graphics, number of buildings and complexity... So it's pretty, but it's more complex too. So go for this one if you like and have already played this kind of games (it's only a suggestion).
Third one, 1701 is in 3D : it's too the easiest from the three, but it's too the most easy to get into. I read there were improvements of the UI etc... Can't say a lot more of this one :P But if you're a beginner and more used to modern graphics and interfaces, it can be the best starting point.
The three games are very good (for what I played and read). Personally, I suggest 1602 (I really love it!), except if you want a more complex game, in this case you should may be take 1503. 1602 isn't especially simplistic : 1503 has simply more things to think about.
I'm not a specialist, but I hope it helps :)

ANNO 1503 A.D. That's the only one I liked from that entire series .
If anyone's willing to get Jedi Outcast for me before this sale ends, I'm willing to trade something of slightly greater value. Technical issues prevent me from buying anything this weekend. :(

Edit: problem solved!

"Price: discounted" filter doesn't work correctly in lists; It displays some non-discounted games, but more importantly also misses some, that I only found (today) thanks to the main page...
nvm

I've only played Anno 1602 extensively. I've never really gotten into playing Anno 1701 even though I own it since a while. The camera control in this game annoys me. For me the "camera" in the older games, although limited to 90 degree turns by the 2D game graphics, fits more for it's purpose. I've just started to play Anno 1503 (from GOG). So far it looks like an improved version of Anno 1602 (although I haven't gotten too far yet). From my limited point of view I would go either for Anno 1602 or for Anno 1503, which for some strange reason is even the cheapest of the three on GOG. You always can get the more expensive ones later if you like it. ;)
