contra_cultura: To contribute a bit to the subject, I have my hopes high on Cyberpunk 2077 using Vulkan, therefore (hopefully) being able to run on Linux as well as on Windows. That would make sense at least from a reach based perspective, although who knows, Gwent only runs on Windows so far...
The way things have deteriorated on this site for a couple of years now (and GOG and CDPR truly are close), and the decisions CDPR made for both Witcher 2 and 3, I will be pretty surprised if Cyberpunk runs on Linux. I hope it will, as I'd love to be wrong about this, but I just can't see it.
I loved the first two Witcher games (especially the first), and would very much like to play the third as well. But I'm only running Linux now (for several years), so it would be a total waste of money to buy that game.
Linux and DRM Free *should* go hand in hand. Both give control to the user. Windows and the bloatware GOG is pushing so hard do not. Perhaps this difference in ideological setup is the deeplying reason things have changed here.
