Green_Hilltop: I've got 4GB RAM and i2430M, that's not old, right? So Cinnamon and KDE should run without a hitch like Win 7.

park_84: Most of their differences basically come down to personal taste, but you should also keep in mind that some DE are more resource demanding than others, if you have an old computer you might want to avoid Cinnamon or KDE which are heavier than XFCE or Mate.

Oh yeah, congratulations to all the winners! I didn't enter because I have too many games on backlog now, however it's awesome that thanks to this thread I learned about the pros and current state of Linux! :)
