I hope that the Belgium squad will finally show how powerful they are. Spain and Brazil are the main favorites in my opinion. I predict that Germany will be the main underachiever and Peru the main overachiever. Personally I will cheer for Egypt and Iceland as nice underdogs to have good matches.

Is anyone going to Russia for the World Cup maybe?
I have saved up every € I could (the main reason why my gaming budget for the first half of this year equals zero) and I most definitely am going to watch two LIVE matches that Serbia will play against Switzerland and Brazil. The days between those matches I'll probably spent doing some drinking and skirt chasing. xD
Another Argentine player was injured and will not be able to play in the World Cup. First it was the goalkeeper Romero, now Lanzini. We are having bad luck lately with the team :(

It seems like I underestimated how bad the Saudis are. Poor Dzagoev though :(

the first two minutes were close
A well deserved win by the Russians. They were clearly the (way) better team in this match.
I was expecting more resistance from Saudi Arabia. It's funny they had 59% overall ball posession, it didn't feel that way but 0 shots on goal. Russia had 7 shots on goal and scored 5 times. Talking about efficiency..
Nice start for them but let's see how they deal with Uruguay and Egypt. As for tomorrow, looking forward to Portugal - Spain match. A por eeeelloooos oeeeee, a por eeeelloooos oeee. :p

Possibly our hardest debut ever. I am also looking forward to the post-match reactions:

If we win: WE ARE THE BEST TEAM IN HISTORY! Anything other than winning the Championship is a complete failure. ¡Por Santiago!

If we lose: Shame! Shame! Shame! We will be lucky if we beat Morocco. Vote in our poll: Who is responsible for the failure? Also, Florentino is literally Hitler.

If we tie: meh.
What an opening match eh ppl? I dun ever recalled watching a FIFA World Cup opening match with a 5-0 scoreline or more b4. Looking fwd 2 c Spain vs Portugal match nx. =D

Time to play:

HELP A STUPID AMERICAN! :D

1st match of the day, Egypt vs Uruguay

How do they match up? Are we looking at a close game or a blowout?

Without Mo Salah, it's a hard task. Uruguay finished 2nd behind Brazil in the South American quali. This Uruguay squad has played together since a long time.
Also: Who's Suarez going to take a bite out of this time?

His form, apparently.

Uruguay was always my favourite team from South America, but the Suarez proves again he's a prick. The way he acted when he was fouled in the last minute is a good example.

However, it did evoke an emotion, which I was very grateful for at that point.
