Sanchez is a moron. Throwing a player to the ground while the ref is about a meter away… that move reminded my of the tackle ability in Dying Light.
Well, that was physically draining. Not sure if I can manage another one of those. It wasn't a good match by any standards, but we have to learn to go out and score 2 or 3 before going to sleep, it's not play to the first goal!
For a short time it almost looked like they were going to end up in proper fisticuffs in the Eng-Col match. Thankfully, the players (somewhat) calmed down as the game went on. I'm actually surprised that there weren't any red cards given. Overall, I think all referees showed a bit too much restraint in this tournament.

Also, go Sweden! ;)

That American referee is a disgrace for football. No authority whatsoever, no control over the match or players, poor performance and bad decisions, clearly he was not on the level needed for competition such as World Cup.

I was expecting way more from both teams, they didn't show much. Columbia had first corner kick in 93rd minute after which they scored and equalize. England also played way bellow their level, if they play like this vs Sweden they won't have much chances to advance to semis.

Thankfully? I was looking forward to some nice fight.
101 football: learn the basics with Brasil.
Hair looks good on Iniesta and Guardiola.

Personally, the Brazilian generation that I liked best was the one from the 80s: Zico, Falcao, Socrates, Eder... even though they didn't win any world cup.

I'm not a huge fan of Brazil though (since they beat Italy in 94), but I liked their style of play up to Ronaldinho's generation. After that, meh...

Everything went down hill after that.

Yes. Firmino and Salah was a deadly combo. If you are the goal keeper, you better not forget your anxiety pills.

I actually quite like Deeney, good honest worker!
I hope that Uruguay will beat France tomorrow. I have Uruguayan friends and I would like to see them win so they get to the semifinal stage :)
