Yeah. Matches like this are going to come up with VAR from time to time. But the alternative of teams being eliminated because of incorrectly disallowed goals for example is far worse.

Very true. The Iranian players took it very hard. Some even broke down in tears at the end of the match.
And I think Spain will have an easier time with Russia than we (Portugal) will with Uruguay.

My grandparents lived in the sticks, far away from anything resembling a city. Sometimes, when I visited, I went out of the house at night. No clouds, no light pollution, nothing. Just the vast emptiness of the universe and the stars, incredibly bright. I would just stare up until it felt like the ground beneath my feet was the ceiling and I was staring into an infinite abyss. Like a spider on the wall that for a brief instant caught a glimpse of what our civilaztion, our history meant. I was so small and would almost lose my balance just standing there in the face of eternity. It was humbling. It was frightening. It was beautiful.

Thanks to France - Denmark I finally know what the exact opposite of that feels like.

Yes i agree 2 this also, but know full well that they dun really stand much of a chance 2 win Brazil they probably thought their best bet was 2 play & hope 4 a draw & pray Switzerland drew or lost against Serbia. That was THEN of cos, on hindsight maybe if they had went all out 4 a win might hv been a better strategy.


Well, once they knew Peru was ahead aft half-time both teams knew a draw btw them will probably be enough 4 them 2 both qualify thus the more cautious & less-aggressive play. That was 2 be expected. So now we finally hv the 1st 0-0 draw match in this World Cup but we can be certain the upcoming Argentina vs Nigeria match will be the complete opposite as both teams will definitely go all out 4 the win. ;)

For the sake of entertainment I'd like to eat my words, but I don't think Argentina is capable of that.
