I don't check the forum all that often, and so I haven't seen the giveaway in question. Just now I looked at the posts so far back as 24 hours, and the only post belonging to Fairfox that I see is the one about the water levels.

Is this another instance of frivolous post deletions by users or a mod action (either at her own request or for some violation of the rules?)

It's really long overdue that Gog does something about this stupid rep system, at least the automatic thread deletion.

Another possibility is that Fairfox pinged a mod and requested deletion. In a later post she mentioned that it was a drunk post that - in hindsight - maybe wasn't the best idea.

To be fair, Fairfox didn't name the thread properly, with the "giveaway" keyword, and the intentionally broken English she uses, made it difficult to follow the post. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if the mod who deleted the thread, simply didn't understand that it was meant to be a giveaway. Personally I didn't understand her post and if it wasn't for the first reply, that thanked her for the giveaway, I wouldn't have figured it out.

EDIT: Oops!!! This seems to be a recent development. I remembered an older Fairfox giveaway, 3-4 days ago. I think it's safe to ignore my comment.
