LootSeeker: The code to fix the problem is too niche.

One has to wonder.....with all the code changes over the years what the current state of the codebase for the forums is....it HAS to be a hot mess by now.
Its like this…. If any other program redirected me once, I would insta-kill it. I obviously love GOG, because I haven’t uninstalled it after 2 months of this happening.

Galaxy 2.0 Privacy (see pic)

But is this closer to reality???

*No spying – Accept for Zuckr Fukr

*No data sharing – Unless its facebook

*Your data belongs to you - But it really doesn’t

Bottom line: Why on Earth partner (use) anything from facebook??? You have a positive image on the web!!!

It's hard not to conclude that CDP doesn't think GOG is worth investing in legit architecture.
People, come on, now... You linked your real facebook to a gaming site? And you have only one facebook? Whatever happened to good old, troll/scout (social) accounts?

richlind33: GOG needs to learn to code.
That is a fair and accurate statement.

According to what I've heard blues say, the only people who understand the architecture are the ones that built it, and they're long gone. So even good coders will likely struggle with it.

They should nuke it from space and start-over then.

Probably one of the reasons for "Galaxy 2.0" then.
What is this thing called privacy, again?

My Galaxy went in the opposite direction: It asked me to insert a floppy disk into a drive the other day when it tried to update itself. I haven't used a floppy disk in over 20 years but cool to see GOG embracing old technology and not just the modern ones like FB.

Edit: spelling.

It reminds me of all those pics of messes of server cables in some memes.
