Syphon72: To think will never get new Syphon filter game now. Because of Sony.
Unfortunately, Bend Studios is not one of the more loved studios unlike Naughty Dog or Santa Monica. There were even rumors that there were plans for Bend to be absorbed into Naughty Dog (since they do have experience with ND IPs, making Uncharted for Vita and I think some work on Last of Us factions). The failure of Days Gone didnt help so this upcoming IP is apparently their "last chance."

Breja: That's just about the most bizarre and inacurate take on this game I could possibly imagine. You'd have to complain about Kratos wearing too much pink to make less sense.

sasuke12: No offence but the video below correctly summarizes why video games are such poor quality these days.

Its not in our interest as reasonable gamers to support this nonsense as it will only get worse.
I am sure you are reasonable enough to understand that.
Well I heard that the arab version of Spider-Man 2 is supposed to be garbage free. But yeah, I wouldn't touch the original game with a stick, they just don't make them like they used to.

Marvel tried to push Miles for ages and now with two successful movies they want to put him in the center even more.

Spider-man 2 is all but a bad game. I liked the first one better, but it's far from being bad.

This is not about WOKE or whatever, it's just about money. Miles' and Gwen's style appeal more to the young generation.
Only a few people complained about Nick Fury being black, right?
Him being the laughing stock of the pat few movies ... yes, that's bad. But when it all started with Sam Jackson playing the part of a white guy, that was ok.

Both the black Nick Fury and Miles were a result of the Ultimate universe, in which Peter at some point died and Miles took the mantle. Fury in these comics was 90 years old, in the 40s he was a convict on whom they tested the Captain America serum.
So was the current Fury a result of WOKE or whatever? No, I don't think so.

Anyway ... I just don't like to play as Miles. He's to hip for my taste. Graffiti, Hip Hop and Electro Funk? Count me out ... plaese. Whatever was possible not to play as Miles, I played as Peter. That's just the guy I know and grew up with.

They want to have more diverse characters? Make it a game with Spider-girl. But I am not talking about the terrible Spider-Gwen, who is really a disgrace.

No, I'm talking about May 'Mayday' Parker, Peter and MJs daughter. She was a very good character, in the comics she was about the age Miles is now. The only problem with her was that Pete - after losing a leg - decided to quit being Spider-man and take care of his family.
Fans hated that and so her "universe" was killed off again. But the character was very good. She was the one who basically made peace with Petes old Nemesis', things that now fall to Miles. He and Rhino became buddies in the previous game, now Mysterio.

The designers just want to go for a new audience with new enemies where they have more freedom.

neumi5694: spider-snip
Recent read the edge of the spider verse stuff, lots of awesome and interesting 'spiders' in that. Having kids and a wife with EDS it was great to see Charlotte Webber.

Really hope the Spider-man games come here too

BTW anyone complaining about anything Marvel related being "Woke" really missed the metaphors, subtext and normally blatantly obvious social references.

Was that why? That's crazy. I mean, the "real" Peter from "our" universe was still Spider-Man, so what was the problem with him not being Spidey in a spin-off universe in a series focused on another character?

But then, I probably shouldn't be that surprised, given I remember the meltdown some people had when Wonder Woman wore trousers for a while.

Yeah, quite silly. But it was not 'just' a spin-off. In the main universe someone killed aunt May, so Peter made a deal with the devil to reverse it (I think the arc was called One More Day). But the price was that he and MJ would also "lose" their future daughter - which of course was not known until it was too late. I think it even ended their relationship. But it has been a while and I was not really interested, the details are a bit fuzzy.

I was under the impression the whole "future daughter" universe was it's own separate thing, like the Ultimate universe, so not really affected by One More Day messing things up. But I don't know, I wasn't reading Marvel anymore when all that happened (and I'm sort of glad, I grew up reading about married Peter, so even knowing about One More Day only second hand annoys me).

I believe their child was involved in OMD somehow, but not in a way that negated Mayday's universe from existing, as we know that Spider-Man is wholly capable of partaking in a number of alternate timelines and universes.

Well, they shift back and forth. During Superior Spider-man (Doc Ock in Pete's body) they basically split, then she was back again, now she's off again with another guy so Pete has time for Felicia. They never really make their minds up.
Marvel is even more inconsistent than DC is. And they dropped a whole storyline about refugees from a second earth that was destroyed from one day to the other.

Tokyo_Bunny_8990: While the camera isnt great, I still think new God of War is a great game though (except the copy/paste trolls). Still think it is great that Sony games have come to GOG and if you want to try an underrated gem, there is Days Gone.
Agree.

As a God of War fan, I thought God of War (2018) was fantastic. By God of War III I was starting to feel the series needed something... that change was needed if the series was to stay "fresh." After Ascension hinted that there would be no growth for Kratos or his world, God of War (2018) blew me away. Easily one of my favorite games of all time.

Vote with your wallets, brothers. If you buy it, then they will bring more with them. GoW and Uncharted were revealed merely a day after Das Gone hit the top selles list, so take from that what you will.
