It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

For a better tomorrow.

It's no secret that GOG.com (the platform and the community gathered around it) is growing at an exceptional rate all around the world. We're trying to keep that in mind as we look for new ways to improve our service for everyone. Obviously, one of the most important functions for all of you is downloading your games - preferably as fast and as reliably as possible.

For some of you this might sound familiar (yep it’s our 3rd time!), once again we are in the process of benchmarking various download locations and trying to get the most representative sample of worldwide results. That means wee need to look at as many unique ISPs / cities / countries as possible, and we need a little help from you! Below you will find a simple test that requires just one click and won't take more than 2 minutes of your time to complete:

<span class="bold">2015 CDN TEST</span>

Your help is greatly appreciated here! Of course you can run the test as many times as possible (preferably at different locations and different times of day). Oh, and keep in mind that we used a little bit of Flash in this test, so if you want to participate please make sure you have the flash player installed and/or you are not using any flash blocking plugins in your browser.
I would have been happy to do it, but at this point Flash is pretty much a resource-intensive security nightmare waiting to happen that I uninstalled a while ago. Perhaps it's possible to make an HTML5 version of the test?
Chromium and Firefox just complain about not having Flash installed properly. Given that this is my laptop running Arch Linux, it problably isn't. Chrome, however, seems to do fine, except that it just never completes. I get a spinning circle for all eternity.
Done, will take the test a few times more.

Edit:
Just a note to others.
Progression stopped and hanged a bit after test one
so you migth want to give it a little bit time.

Would have helped, but alas I have no flash (haven't for years) and no intention to install it even if they revived the 64bit Linux version I need. But let me/us know once there's a HTML5 version of the test.
Done...but no free key for the witcher 3 for doing the test? I am disappointed GOG! ;)
Always had great download speed here in Denmark. Maxes out my puny 30mbit connection easily.
Done. Any test result feedback would be nice.
Why did it have to be Flash? It' s not the only cross-platform dev-tool, you know... :-/
Leave the sinking ship that is Adobe (both Flash and Air). I can't run your test; too many security issues involved with Flash...

You can just activate flash (update to latest version) only for the test and deactivate it afterwards. No big deal.
Done. Glad to be of help!
Done.

If you want suggestions on improving delivery methods then I've always felt the advertising in installers was a bit of a blemish on gog's otherwise good system.

When I'm installing a game I'm moving files from one location on my computer (the installer) to another location (the game folder). I'm not drawing on any of GOG's resources and my desktop is not a public place, this is not an appropriate time for showing adverts.

Advertising while downloading would fine. We've asking gog to provide a service with ongoing costs for a one-off fee so it's not unreasonable to accept adverts when it's used, especially if it only started after you'd owned the game for a certain amount of time (a couple of months maybe) or the second time you downloaded it.

Exactly, I have flash restricted to run only with my specific allowance for the time and site I choose. So allowed this one to run and test completed fine.
Done! ^^

When you say it seems to hang, are you talking a minute or two, or ten minutes or more?
