The only issue I've had with Windows 10 is the automatic updates. Microsoft doesn't make it easy to disable them right off the bat, and there have been issues with them when they first get rolled out. If you have the Pro edition, you can disable it on a group policy, but it only allows you to delay the update for so long. Other than that, I haven't had any big issues with running any games.

Gottcha, can't argue with that logic. I mean, why would you comfortably use an OS that works with you instead of against you? I do the same when buying tools, I just want my electric screwdriver to fuck me over from time to time so that I can fuck it right back like the handyman I am. Functional equipment is for those without the know-how!

The problem is sooner or later you may eventually get connected and Win10 will byte your a$$ as soon as it can. Guess how I did found out?

32-bit Win 7 was the best OS I've ever used. Best design, functionality and backwards compatibility. Would like to get an older PC with it in the future.

But my main will remain Win 10.

Pretty much the same I do... The system becames so much snappy after disabling a lot of stuff.

Funny stuff, my only Win10 device start to update a couple of days ago, due a mistake on my part. I usually set the wi-fi connection as metered and windows will not update itself but I nedded to connect to other network and forgot to tick the metered connection box. As soon as I noted the update thing (you can tell very easilly when is updating on a low end device, because the system becomes unresponsive, to the point it is unusable), interrupted the update and continued with my life. Now Windows don't let me shut down the system before updating :D

I came very close to just saying "fuck it" and formatting my OS drive into Windows 7. Thought really long and hard, read all of your replies, and came to a conclusion. Basically, when I have the money, I'll just buy a few cheap PCs and install Windows 7 plus any updates, disconnect them from the internet for good and have them around as strictly LAN pc's.
