Hi, I was just wondering if it were possible to temporarily remove games I've downloaded on GOG to bring back at a later date?

There are a number of games that I have started, but do not want to finish (right now) when there are other new games that I would like to try. The problem is that I'm running a eGPU from my macbook which does not have that much storage allocated to the bootcamp (128GB).

Is there any elegant way to "uninstall" games from my library with GoG Galaxy?

My alternative is to simply drag and drop games I've installed onto a external hard drive then put them back at a later date, but I am not sure how the GoG Galaxy software would appreciate this...?

Any suggestions/ similar experience?
You can easily uninstall by clicking on the game, then More - Manage - Uninstall.

If you want you can safe them on HD before and later import them again by pressing the plus and then choose Scan and Import folders or ou can download again.
Galaxy offers you an uninstall function. You can uninstall with or wwithout removing the savegames. What it will not do howver is keep a record of what was once installed, which could be handy ( f.i. by keeping the names in the games list, greyed out ). Nor will it retain your playing stats ( although that hardly matters as Galaxy's stats are so unreliable.... I've been playing Dragonfall for a while now and Galaxy still counts my in-game play time as 0 minutes )

Or you could try try the good old tried and tested method of downloading the installers from the GOG webpage via browser download and storing them on a HDD, internal or external. Then you can install as and when you like without the need for internet.

If I use the canning method will that involve a re-installation process or is that just adding the necessary files again to their former locations then scanning so that the GoG client will realize they are there?

Ahh fortunately I am not huge on stats anyways; although it would be good to know how many hours it took to finish a game.

That's helpful to know!

For me it always just downloaded, if needed, the necessary files and added to database, just tested with Fallout again and it worked that way, because some said it loads everything again. This may be the case with some few games.
