I think its more of a remake than a reboot. They aren't trying to rewrite the story as far as I know.

Anyway I haven't played the original system shock but this remake is lookin' fine. Defiantly one of the better Freddi Fish 2 clones to come out in recent years.

Well they are calling it a reboot and they're launching a Kickstarter for it.

I didn't see where they called it that, on the website they say they're "remastering and re-imagining the original system shock. Who knows, maybe you're right and next week they'll call it the re-yield.

Gengar78:
I have played System Shock (thanks to generous IAmSinistar).
The Remastered/Reboot/Remake is like original look wise.
There are few things added as far as I can see in gameplay footage.
But to be sure we will have to wait few hours as there is a System Shock pre-alpha DEMO coming on GOG/Humble/Steam when it's launched on ks.

He's using a gamepad, the slow cursor/aim movement is a dead giveaway.
Looks good! : )
ill wait for the actual game to be released before getting excited about it

Hm, I don't like the visuals at all, it makes me think of Borderlands, Overwatch and other "Disney Club" shooters.
It's too shiny and colorful. I wanted something that looks really dark and grim. This ain't it. I'll pass on this.
I hope the remake is successful. It might prompt a remake of the Ultima Underworld games, which are in dire need of interface improvements.
I don't fucking care about shiny graphics . I prefer the original game .

I suppose you don't care about the original playing like shit, either, then?
