Cautiously excited, can't say I like the new SHODAN voice though. Same voice actor but different filter.

morrowslant: The real question is: what kind of immersion do people want in System Shock 3?
The immersion from Shock 1 with pausable vidlogs, mini-games inside HUDS, lean/crawl/bend body movement, battery pack, overloadable energy weapons, rocket skates, personal shields, etc?
Or the immersion from Shock 2 with better designed maps, player psi-powers, 3 optional character build choices, pis-power enemies, weapons degradation, etc?
Yes, please.

Telika: Unity ?

Gersen: Yeah... I wouldn't even mind the game being exclusive on the Epic store for one year if it meant that they would at least use Unreal engine instead of unity...
Never a fan of unity, it seems to hate high resolutions and every game I every played using that engine is VERY un optimised for modern hardware. :/ well lets hope this one is good.

StarChan: Yes, please.
Which one do you prefer, Shock 1 or Shock 2?
Lean towards wanting Shock 1 immersion more. Played Shock 2 fully once, while have gone through multiple Shock 1 full play-throughs.

dewtech: If only.
Let's hope it won't be as streamlined to the casuels as Bioshock was and keeps it charm and gameplay.
Do you want it to be “streamlined to the casual players” or do you want it “keep its charm and gameplay”? You gotta decide between them.
@morrowslant:

I've played through SS2 four times, last time the corridors felt almost too familiar .. I think SS2 is excellent in everything it does. But then again, so is SS.

Therefore, as indicated before, I prefer both :)

The real question is, what nickname will Shodan give us this time?

SS1 - "Hacker"
SS2 - "Insect"
SS3 - ???

'Irritant' was good, should be perpetuated.

SS3 - wetware references:

"tardigrade" - whenever Shodan is in a loving mood and wants to give you a compliment/hug
"microflaggellant" - on second thought, too complex, breaks Shodan's syntactic rhythm

- wetware and tech:
"virus"

- tech references:

"runtime error" (no I'm not tech savvy)
"underflow" (perhaps the best imo, still not tech savvy)
Doesn't look half bad although I think Shodan's face looks way too smooth. Just makes me think of Lawnmower Man for some reason.

Also... SS1 > SS2. Fight me. =P
I would like to see the hacker back in action and the game leaning more towards SS1 than SS2.
SS1 is such a great game.
Unity Is now PERFECTED

LAWL https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=34K8YJOMDRY watch it in 1440p it will blow your mind!

Explain to me how unity is a bad engine Gersen?

The unreal engine CRASHES a LOT on my PC and it's as unoptimised as a$$.

Ownership of System Shock 3’s website has been transferred to Tencent

Damn...
Has Tencent ever published a non-mobile game?
