Some more Linux Wine wrappers this week:

System Shock 2: System Shock 2 for Linux
Freedom Force & Freedom Force vs. the 3rd Reich: Freedom Force for Linux

I was reconsidering doing any more giveaways after GOG's recent plans to change the standalone installers, but as they have suspended those plans I have decided to continue for now. So here's a giveaway for the above mentioned games plus some Linux games to support official Linux releases (and Saints Row 2 in case anyone missed it while it was free - also check out the Linux Wine wrapper I made for it here)

As usual I'd also like to encourage anyone who's even a little bit interested in Linux to take a look at the beginner's guide I wrote & perhaps give Linux a try: The "Try Linux" Repost/Rewrite (a "beginner's guide")

Check out my GOGmix for more of my Linux Wine wrappers: adamhm's Linux Wine wrappers

Anyway, the prizes this time are:

> Freedom Force
> Freedom Force vs the 3rd Reich
> System Shock 2
> BLACKHOLE + Complete Edition Upgrade
> I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream
> Saints Row 2
> Shadowrun Returns
> Space Pirates and Zombies

To enter, simply post here listing what you're entering for in order of preference. Using Linux is not a requirement for entering the giveaway.

The giveaway will run until Thursday 25th May at 20:00 UTC. Due to problems with downrepping in previous giveaways, the winners will *not* be publicly revealed unless they decide to do so themselves.

Rules:
- No rep requirement but I reserve the right to disqualify entries at my discretion.
- Winners will be selected randomly after the giveaway ends
- Each winner will receive one prize - whichever of the remaining prizes is their most preferred.
- Please only enter for games that you don't already have.
- Please only enter for games that your system can run.
- Please only enter for games that you're interested in, intend to play & won't just let rot in a backlog.
- Keys are for your own use only/not to be traded (except for leftovers/duplicates from multi-game keys which may be re-gifted but not traded)
- Anything not redeemed within one week after being awarded may be given to another entrant or reused for a future giveaway.

+1, definitely. This giveaway does need to be seen, both for the incredible generosity of the community and because people need to try these awesome games.

Seems to me that at any "GOG forum era" there is always that one person that is the motor of giveaways. One that just feel like spreading generosity and gaming joy and does it so well. And it always makes some people follow which brings just more of the same. This is a great thing and it makes me happy.

Not in for any games, just wanted to share those words and give another +1 to adamhm who is currently at that mentioned pedestal. :))
Oh Mighty Adam, Linux Master and Giveaway Paladin, thanks for another giveaway!

I'm in for System Shock 2, I loved Deus Ex so I'll probably love this too:)

By the way, years ago I had used Puppy Linux, and some other versions that I don't remember, on an old 512MB RAM laptop and it was quite good. Is Linux Mint much more difficult?

Nothing is simpler than Mint :D
Puppy is, hm, kind of weirdo. It has its own solutions and differences. Mint is focused on being intuitive and usable out-of-the-box. In my honest opinion is much simpler then Windows, especially new Windows editions. And remember that it's a lot easier to keep your system safe and updated, if you use Linux. To be honest, it comes with close to zero effort.

As ciemnogrodzianin said, Mint is a *lot* easier to use :)
