Considering the games are late 1990's, I would think even an Intel iGPU would work fine. Do you know what CPU / GPU do you have now?

As AB2012 was saying, these games don't really need a powerful graphics card. Anything released in the last 18 years will do just fine. I think even a Geforce FX series card would work, but I doubt there are many of those still around.

It's a bit different if you're on a laptop, but chances are you're probably still good and don't need to worry about it much. If the system runs (or can at least run) Windows 7 with Aero enabled, it should be able to handle these games.

1)  Go to your account by either selecting "Games" in your account menu, or by using this URL :  https://www.gog.com/account.
2)  Click on the game you wish to download.
3)  Download every installation files to a single directory, and run the first executable file to launch the installation process.
4)  Alternatively, if you want to install the game through Galaxy, a client similar to Steam, click on the "Download and install now" button.

According to Ubisoft, you need to run the game as administrator with fullscreen optimizations disabled.  Locate the executable of the game, right-click on its icon, and select "Properties" in the context menu.  In the "Compatibility" section, make sure that both "Run this program as an administrator" and "Disable fullscreen optimizations" are selected, then click on the "Apply" button.  Try running the game again to see if the issue is resolved.  If that doesn't work, you'll have to edit the configuration file to force windowed mode.

Tried everything. The game turns.on and while the video plays at the beginning its fine but.once it gets to the main menu it goes black and closes the game. I run it as administrator and disable full screen optimization and still nothing
Have you also tried the GrayFace patches for the games? Supposedly they also help with compatibility issues.

You can find more details on the games series forum (you're on "general discussion" atm): https://www.gog.com/forum/might_and_magic_series

If WinterSnowfall's advice doesn't help and the community can't help, next step is a support ticket. They're usually quite good at getting things resolved, but response times are a little bit slow. If they can't fix it for you, they'll be able to refund you for games that you can't get to work.
Ok. Cool. How do I make a ticket?
At the top of the web site, click the 'Support' link to the left of your user name, and select 'Game Technical Issues', then search for your particular game using the search box displayed.

Couldn't find where to make a new topic. When ever I open gog galaxy I click on might and magic7 or 8 and hit play it goes dark then doesn't open my game. And I hit update and it says disk access error occurred during update. Update failed. But I was able to play it a few days ago and I can still play might and magic 6

Try just opening the files directly. Instead of using the hot mess that is Galaxy.
