I want to move the game over to a larger HD, how can I get GOG to recognise this has moved?

It is entirely possible, though you'll need to verify the game after moving.

Make sure to also reset the default directory, as well.

Cleanest mehtod for me which I already used several times: Copy the game to new location, uninstall the game in Galaxy then Import the new folder.

Will what allow you to? You simply download the installer files from your library on the website, then you keep those files and install it as much as you like. This is the one sole reason to buy Here.

It will, but why would you, its easier to copy and then uninstall and reimport, so you dont have to download again ;)

Not remotely. If they're using Galaxy then they can simply move the folder and then point Galaxy to the new location to get it to repair the installation. By comparison, reinstalling, particularly through Galaxy would be much much slower.
