Welp, now that's done it.

I'm trying to clean up some hd and every single time I click on any of GOG's uninstall buttons I get the same mistake.

Would anyone kindly tell me how to fix this? Or should I simply nuke the folders and use a registry cleaner after that?

Are you using Galaxy? Have you tried using Programs and Features -> Remove programs, and remove from there. What OS are you using? By uninstal' buttons what do you mean?

I too have been having this issue for a long time now.

And I am not using GOG Galaxy.

My question to you is have you been tinkering with your registry editor before you found out you can't uninstall GOG games?

I am not using Galaxy and I have the same problem as the OP.

Did you try the various other methods of uninstal other than the uninstal program in Start menu? I.e. program and applications -> Remove programs? Also, what version of Windows?
I have galaxy installed, however I very rarely use it if at all. Most of the games were installed with stand-alone installers not Galaxy, however the problem appears in both.

The only Registry tinkering I have done is using CCleaner, months ago.

As to th what do I mean by uninstall button? I mean every single possible method of uninstalling offered by windows 7. From directly executing uninstall.exe to the remove programs panel to even using galaxy just to try it out. It makes absolutely no difference since they all do the same bloody thing, which is to run the uninstall.exe file in the game's directory.

It does seem a lot like a registry issue, but I'd like to know how it can be solved rather than simply ignoring it and nuking the file folders. Plus the fact that I have no idea what other directories might have been created outside of the \GOG Games\ one.
This guy had the same problem but couldn't find a solution other than deleting the folders and running the cleaner again...

You could check to see if you have the swbemlocator dll (Wbemdisp.dll, according to Microsoft) which presumably should be in your windows folder somewhere (system32 probably, I think is where most dlls are) as that may he the problem..
Or possibly you need to fix a registry entry associated with it..

Yes, it does seem to be a registry problem, you could try one of the solutions given on the web, although wether you trust what they are doing or not is another matter, just one example:

I use Windows 7.

And no uninstalling it from the control panal does not work aswell.

The only way I can truly uninstall it is to delete everything related to the game. Delete it from the Start Menu, Delete it from Local Disc > GOG games, and delete the shortcut.
