I don't know too much about photography, and tricky without a tripod, but I guess not a problem with fast shutter speed. it's a old Canon that uses AA battery, fortunately it has 12x zoom.

Also for some reason there were lots of crows today.

"THEY'RE COMING!"
Edit: Gotta admit, though, I'm impressed that you managed to count all 20,161,113 of 'em. Must've been some effort. Well done. The best guess I could make was "at least 3".

That was tonight? I wasn't sure if it was tomorrow night or not.

The moon didn't look that much larger if/when i saw it earlier.

But did it look super, though?

I thought it was yesterday... wife went outside after the clouds cleared and said '....looks the same'. Well it's 4pm now so I guess I'll see in two hours or so. Stupid news channel confused me :p

You're in Australia, dude. You gotta look DOWN, not up.

Nice shots - certainly better than what I managed with the phone. Did you get a corona, too? Might be our local sky conditions that caused it...

No it was very clear here in Florida. I like this time of the year since I can walk outside in my garden at night, and soon smelling the tomato leaves, which is wonderful at night.
Superm*n
It did look brighter (blinding white), and bigger than usual, no corona though, and no decent shots to share. Perhaps I have better luck tonight.

I like your second shot, HereForTheBeer.
I will try my luck tonight too, but I don't expect something spectacular.

HereForTheBeer: Anyone else check it out tonight? Went outside around 10:15 and saw a full corona around the moon. Pretty spectacular. Wish I had a better camera with which to get shots, but these aren't horrible for a phone cam in low light.

Hopefully the skies are clear wherever you are, so you can get a good view of the moon the next couple days. It's at its closest on the 14th. Please share photos if you get any good ones.
those branches are pretty thin in 2nd photo. we could hang tinye by his remaining ball in that tree! (^_^) i wonder what would break first - his ball or the branches? here in romania there is book called "padurea spanzuratilor" it means the forest of hanged men - i read that in highschool
Here is a picture of the "blood Moon", not taken today. I shot it last year, during the eclipse.
