Hasbro classics is the best deal for me, or the "Old D & D package", as it was named, before the actual old D & D games appeared here! You get a ton of great games for a great price, too! But WHOOPS, sorry, i made a GRAVE ERROR! The crown jewel of this package is NO LONGER INSIDE IT! Baldur's Gate 1 + 2 original, plus Icewind Dale 1, rest inside the w@nked-f@ggot editions of D & D remade... Scratch that.

Stalker package is a solid choice, always relevant.

I myself look lustily over at the Ys package.

Lucasarts package seems interesting, as well as the Star Wars.

And for single games, you HAVE to try BLOODLINES! Absolutely! I swear i saw it yesterday much discounted!

No, i thought today it wouldn't be on offer. Usually, during sales, games come and go daily and near the sale's end, most offers return. Today it is still up!

The blues stated in the sale announcement thread that the deals will not disappear and none of the games will get a bigger discount further on in the sale than they do when they first appear. So no need to worry if the title you're interested in will drop out of the sale before the end, no need to worry if it's going to be cheaper later on in the sale.

I've played SS2 multiple times/have it (even original boxed copy still), but never the original, so it's very tempting.

Well, Bloodlines and AoD are both tops of my to-get list, even if they have different elements/strong points, I want to play them both quite a bit and I imagine I'll like them both a lot. I'd play Redemption before Bloodlines just because I'm anal like that. Hmmm, yes, choices choices, it's a good thing!

You probably know this already, but the two vampire games have nothing in common apart from being loosely based on the Vampire the Masquerade pen & paper RPG. So that's like forcing yourself to play The Temple of Elemental Evil before you can play Neverwinter or something. ;)

But if you need to play through Redemption first before you can touch Bloodlines, you could also get Age of Decadence and Redemption, and buy Bloodlines another time, after you've completed them.

Anyway, are these games also tops of your to-play list? Would you jump right into them? Do you play through a lot of games, or does your backlog keep on increasing? Might be relevant when pondering whether to get more games or fewer games for the same price, or whether to go for the higher or lower discounts.

I would say I need to play Redemption first because it will familiarize me with the lore and world a bit before sinking my teeth into Bloodlines. I have seen some argue that Redemption is better, and am not certain I'll be all gung-ho about Bloodlines like a lot of people are (even though I have a lot of faith in Troika in delivering a top-notch game, and with it being patched and modded with love, I am excited to give it a try.)

It's hard for me to say that I wouldn't fire up AoD right away upon getting it and see what it has to offer and play a good chunk of it since I intend to play it through multiple times to get the multiple angles, but my reasonable side says I have 3 other large RPGs I want to get finished before I even consider firing up another one, so I should just wait on AoD anyway and grab it in a sale at a later time, perhaps for even more.

I think if I had Redemption I'd also start it right away, but it is hard to judge how much the compelling nature of it would override perhaps some lesser aspects and I'm not sure how long then it'd take me to finish it.

I do tend to start a lot of games and switch back and forth between playing a bunch at different times depending on mood and I complete less games than I'd like (though I've gotten way better about that the past 6 months.)

And then part of me thinks I shouldn't pass up on Bastion and Transistor, and so mebbe I should just get the 2 Vampire games and then those 2 too.

i been geting some old rpg classics i would say you gota try the Bard,, it has 1-2-3 orginals too and the narrator is so classic ,, if you love the princess bride film, or monty python then this games voice acting well make you laugh,, and come on it even has the beer song lol :)

ps the 2 neverwinters 1 and 2 two and nox are also fun games too :)

I'll chime in a bit I suppose.

The D&D classics pack is worth looking at. I have most of the games from the DOS days still, and if you like DND or RPGS or both definatley have a look.
For the same reason the Hasbro classics is worth a look.

PIrates! (2004) is 2.50 at the moment, and its a great game. Can't compare to the original, because I honestly never got to play it, but on its own its a great fun game.

From the Bullfrog bundle I have to say Populous 2. Played both 2 and 1 for hours upon hours back in the day, and for 2.39 Pop 2 is a bargain. (You can skip 1 unless you're a completionist. 2 does everything 1 does, but better.)
Really enjoyed Dungeon keeper too, as far as I played it. As for the rest of the bundle?... nver played any of them, so no comment.

Shadowrun. Definitely Shadowrun. Dragonfall for 3 bucks is a steal, and hong kong was still enjoyable. Worth seven bucks at least.

FTL. Great game. If you find yourself wanting to play a space captain give it a look.

And the last think I'll mention is an impulse-ish buy I made.

Infinifactory. Looked a lot like a flash game I used to enjoy (Tile factory), just in 3d. The reviews seemed positive in general, so I tried it. After having played it a few hours today I can honestly say that if you like puzzle games, look into it. Hopefully it doesnt become horrible late game, but early game its quite fun so far.

WINGS OF PREY: SPECIAL EDITION, 75% off. Worth a look if you liked IL-2: Sturmovik. A bit simplified in comparison with IL-2, but sometimes it is more a "pro" than a "con". Graphics is so much better than in IL-2 (2006).

Project Zomboid, In-Dev it may well be, but it's rock solid for myself...fun as hell game.

Subterrain, great game the view did take me a while to get my head around, once i mastered that, bingo..gaming gold.
Only down side is the utterly poor ending.

Grim Dawn may only have 25% off but frankly it was worth the full price...worth a look see if you like the genre.

Many more but this will turn into yet another list....

A lot of great RPGs here on sale.

Me? I already got Dark Sun, Ravenloft and FR Collection 3. And like I wrote above, I'm still pondering whether I'd enjoy D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die. It looks weird, and weird can be hit or miss; from what I've seen I couldn't figure out yet why so many like it. I'm more or less set on getting Hotline Miami 2 though. And probably System Shock. Not sure about OlliOlli 2 yet, as I didn't play OlliOlli that much but 2 is said to have improved any aspect of it. But it's on sale at Humble, too, so I might get it there instead. I also want Firewatch, Samorost 3 and Stories: The Path of Destinies, but their discounts are neglectable and I can't justify spending that much money on them. And I'm waiting to see if Divinity: Original Sin will be discounted.

But mainly I'm just pondering why I buy all these games when I still got more than enough to keep myself busy with. I'm very similar to you, I love trying out lots of games at the same time, and while I also play through quite a few, a majority falls by the wayside in the process ... ;)

Anyway, I think you can't really go wrong with the two Vampire games, Bastion and Transistor. They're all great games (Redemption a bit less so, but it's the cheapest and I enjoyed it despite its flaws). Be aware though that Bastion plays a lot better with gamepad, the diagonal movement feels a bit awkward with keyboard.

I'm considering Shadowrun: Hong Kong. I love the two other Shadowrun-games, as well as other tactical turn-based games, such as XCOM and Wasteland 2. How does Shadowrun HK compare? I'm also into good storylines.

I've played through this one several times, and I think it's a excellent and unique game.. I actually have all achievements for it on Xbox One :P If there's anything you want to know about the game, feel free to ask :)

I've only played for a couple of hours; from what I've seen the story is not quite as engaging Dragonfall, and gameplay-wise it's more of the same, but if you liked the other two games, I think it's a no-brainer to get it. It delivers what you'd expect from it (if you don't expect it to top Dragonfall, that is).

Some things I noticed that are new, compared to the previous games:

- Starts with an actual cutscene intro with voiceovers; nothing too fancy, just hand-drawn illustrations and effects, but exciting enough.
- A pimped-up cyberspace gameplay that adds real-time stealth, allowing you to avoid combat by exploiting the guard's patterns, sneaking by undetected, if you manage. If not, in any case there's a chance you might only have to fight the guard(s) in closest proximity, not everyone in the room. Then there are locked door minigames which are primitive, but still add a little spice. If you fail them, you raise the alert meter, just as guards detecting you or each round of combat can raise it. You can choose to force doors open instead, which is guaranteed to succeed but will raise the alert meter even faster.
- A slightly changed UI for skill upgrades, which are now sectioned in separate stat screens instead of having you scroll down through pop down menus. Personally I liked the old one just fine and didn't mind the scrolling, but the new one is alright, too.
- NPCs can now walk around casually instead of just standing rooted to the spot.
