Is Samorost 3 like Samorost 2 or a great improvement over it? I liked Samorost 2, but I only paid around 5 EUR for it and thought that was enough. I paid around 10 EUR for Botanicula, and thought that was a good price, even though it was given away for next to nothing shortly after. But Samorost 3 still costs 14 EUR, more than I paid for Botanicula. Is it just as engaging and original as Botanicula, or more of the same, like Samorost 2, part 2? GOG writes it's their most ambitious experience to date - why is that? What's special about it? And is it much longer than Samorost 2?

I think Hotline Miami 2 is at the lowest price yet on GOG (it was for around $3 on Steam not long ago tho, the only reason I havn't got it there is because I own the first here and don't like to "split" series between 2 accounts)

Games I consider a steal at current sale prices:
Dead State : spent 60+ hours on my first playthrough, it's slow-paced and repetitive but still lots of fun if you are into this concept and gameplay style.
Legend of Eisenwald : same as above, dozens of hours worth of interesting gameplay.
Shadowgate Special Edition : great quality with lots of replay value for extra challenge.
Avernum - escape from the pit : lengthy game in old-school RPG style.
Avadon 1 & 2: ditto
Geneforge Saga: probably my favourite RPG series of all time.
Grey Matter, Resonance, Blackwell Bundle & Epiphany, Syberia, Gemini Rue, Little Big Adventure, Last Express, Samaritan Paradox, Journeyman, Tex Murphy, Omikron : all really good adventure games for a very low price.
Galactic Civilizations, Conquest Frontier Wars, Blitzkrieg, Massive Assault, Jagged Alliance, Startopia, Star Wolves, Perimeter, Battle Realms, Wargame EE, Master of Orion, Battles: some awesome strategy games very cheap.
Death to Spies, Nox, Hard Reset Redux: from the 'action' category.

So there's no shortage of "steals" in my opinion. It all depends on what games you like.

Skylines is just prettier, but Banished beats them all \o/

I just bought The Deadly Tower Of Monsters. For its current price ($3.99 USD) I think it's a steal. If you don't know this game, here's a review.

Braid, Bastion and Hotline Miami are defiantely a steal at these prices. All great games (though very different) with fun gameplay, interesting, unique storytelling, music and graphics- Braid and Bastion are beautiful, and Hotline Miami is... well, not, but it's intentional and it suits the game great. And this is coming from someone who is usually allergic to pixels.

Blackguards is also crazy cheap, it's a really fun RPG. Not the best, greatest I've ever played, anything like that, but just really solid. Good tactical combat, well established mood, well written characters. THe only downside is a little too much luck factor in combat. Still, at this price is more than worth it.

Oh, and Doorkickers. It's a fantastic game. With no SWAT 5 this is the next best thing (if you don't like FPS games it's probably eeven better). It's really a perfect tactical game, easy to learn, hard to master. Can't wait for the sequel.

Anno 1404 - If you like town building games you're in for a treat, worth every cent
Hasbro Classics - Always a steal, even though Baldur's Gate absence..
Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds - Age of Empires spin-off, if you like AoE & Star Wars you should try it, it's great game.
Lords of Xulima - Fantastic game with a fantastic soundtrack, many hours of old school fun with that.
Ziggurat - Great little game, if you enjoy fast paced FPS you'll have a great time. Recently a new "Gauntlet" mode added.
System Shock Enhanced Edition - Every serious FPS games should play it. Now with the enhanced controls there are no excuses. Play System Shock 2 too.
Technobabylon - Wonderful point & click, on eof the best i've played.
King of Dragon Pass - Buy it thrice, keep one for yourself and gift the other two to your closest friends; they'll thank you for it. ;)
Vampire the Masquerade Redemption - Different from Bloodlines but a good cRPG nonetheless. The price is a steal of course.
Syberia 1 & 2 - One of the best point & clicks around. It's a sin if you don't buy it.
Blackwell Bundle - I finished them recently and totally worth it. Great characters, fantastic plot, don't miss Epiphany too.
Sanitarium - This is one hell of a ride, fantastic game, fantastic price.
FEAR Platinum - I guess every FPS played this sometime, if you missed it though now's the chance. Great FPS with a touch of horror. Horror i said? Are you afraid? Don't be!
Legend of Eisenwald - If you like Kings Bounty style games, give it a chance, it has great qualities even if it looks a somewhat "generic" medieval game. There is even a giveaway running at the moment, if you want to take the chance! ;)

From the newer games, Homeworld Remastered. Can't speak about the Remastered games yet, but since the classics are included the overall price is very good.

If Alpha Centauri, Arcanum & STALKER - Shadow of Chernobyl shows up later, be sure to buy them too! Cheers! :)

SpaceChem - technically, this is a puzzle game, but it goes beyound what is expected from the genre. It contains a story, you design your own solutions and seeing the system you designed in action is really pleasureable. Crazy hard, but in a good way. On the downside i remember that there was some part in the tutorial that stumpled me.

Agreed, Spacechem is amazing, not quite as cheap but still amazing by the same devs: Infinifactory.

Oh, another question: Do you own the regular or the deluxe versions of Hotline Miami 2 and D4? Is it worth it to spend money on the extras?

Aye, worth it for the HLM2 Remix and the D4 mini soundtrack. (at least on sale)
Too bad the entire OST isn't included with either though.

<span class="bold">Dracula 3: The Path of the Dragon </span>

For us, gamers, it's pretty obvious that Dracula does exist in this series but the main character, a catholic priest, does not believe in vampires. He is sent to Vladoviste to investigate a life and death of a doctor because local church authorities claim she should be canonized.

As you can imagine he starts to experience a lot of anomalies, people tell him strange stories and he has mysterious dreams...

The best thing is that supernatural is not bluntly thrown at you in this game. Your main task is to analyze numerous documents, talk with different people, search for clues and solve elaborate puzzles. Most of the time our good priest will actually find proofs that vampirism is just a myth but at the same time he will get a feeling that there is something else going on... something elusive... something incredibly well concealed... concealed by a sentient being. And it's teasing him. Teasing to follow this path... the Path of the Dragon...

As much as Dracula 1 and 2 are typical adventure games about human vs vampire struggle the third one is one of the best games I've ever played. I was in awe how marvelous this story was and how well it was told. Puzzles are hard but it gives a lot of satisfaction to solve them. And in a sense - some of them are quite similar to "The Ninth Gate". For example you'll be shown a few copies of the same painting and only by analyzing the differences between them you'll be able to solve some puzzles (trust me, it was not a spoiler, one character will directly explain that you have to do so but she won't give you an actual answer and neither did I so don't worry - I didn't spoil anything)

I can't recommend it strong enough!
