Phc7006: I think I have purchased all I wanted ...hopefully
i might have a few left, i have the retails but the listprice of the digital is higher then then the retail price i paid for, so a sale would be nice.

There seems to a bug with the forum currently, as I've accepted Phc7006's answer twice soon after he replied, but the "Solved" mark again disappeared

I think it gave you two or three times the +5 reputation bonus for answering :)

Ikarugamesh: After 30k XP the last seal will be lifted and The Beast will be unleashed, ridding the world from the evils of DRM.
That would be cool, basically everyone (99%) would disappear, MGM, SONY, EA and all wannabe EA drm hugging companies,
The bad thing is DRM cant be run by itself it needs dumb people who eat DRM sleep DRM and breath DRM
which is a very sad story to read and too many of these 'books' exist, but maybe they can get a permanent residence in The Beast's Castle of Doom, i bet their will be plenty of room for these DRM lovers.

Steam would be gone aswell, eventhough they have some drm free titles (you do need the client installed to buy and install them so it is a form of restriction, which qualifies a form of DRM).
All the old games on many sites that still use securom and the evil Tages.
Always online authentication (EA again?)

I searched for drm and found this post , its old its from 2015, but still nice to read:

As for the games, there are some very good deals on the Shadowrun games, on the Anno games, on the Lucasarts classics or on the El Presidente Games.

By contrast, the launch rebate of 50% on homeworld seem to have gone down to 30%, and the overall trend of this sale seems to be a 60% discount
Thats correct i own many of the games before the next versions decided to be 3d or fpp games, so basically i have all the 2d/flat versions of the old games that had to become 3d/fpp.

I was curious about this too because I got the three xp games on my first purchase. I'm not purchasing for xp, but rather I was waiting for many of these games to be on sale to buy them. There are so many good deals that I would be crazy not to get them! I'm currently at 433,020 xp and nothing happened passed the third xp game. I think now I'm only going to be purchasing games on my wishlist or new releases if I like them, rather than going through all of the new deals that come up. I bought Homeworld the morning of the sale, but didn't get xp for it because it was just a couple hours before the sale began.

GoG is badass and I really hope they are doing well with this, I know I feel like I have gotten much more than I have paid for since I first discovered GoG.

This analogy made my day already and that one has just started. Thanks for that.

Yessir, it's pretty much $1 = 1,000 xp from what i've found
Of the 3, I was actually only really interested in "Spelunky"(I loved the original GK, but wasn't tempted by the remake, even though I hated Tim Curry's voice acting, having first played the floppy disc version, and read Gabriel as a much more likable character), so seeing the dotted line of reward games fading away made me worry that more games might come along and I'd have already spent XP on stuff I didn't need. The interface could definitely be made clearer, if it's not GOG's intention to mystify. Or maybe they could just add a note to the FAQ?
Yeah, GoG could stand to have more games available to spend XP on.

I've played the demo for Spelunky, don't care for it.

Saw the trailer for Dreamfall, seems tedious and derivative.

Everyone's telling me that Gabriel Knight is pretty good, but I've had my fill of point-and-click games.

Well, now they published the top 10... interesting. You know what ? I fell a bit bad about having spent 100 bucks on this sale, and now I feel much better . GOG should really change and enlarge their incentives and the scale they apply.
I wonder if the XP in excess of 30000 gets stored somewhere and carried over to future promos or offerings.

Ah, the leaderboards? This is a game sale, not an MDA telethon. We're not achieving something great, we're exchanging some bucks for some bits. Same with the "I have THIS MANY games" badges on Steam. Talk about "conspicuous consumption."

O_o If there are many big spenders like you around, I'm sure GOG is doing just fine! ;-p

I don't spend money for anything other than what I need and rarely something I want. I happened to have a nice little stash saved up for this type of occasion. I regularly check GoG to see if they have any good sales or anything new and had a large wishlist. The stuff on my wishlist was almost all for sale, so I figured this is what I saved that stash for. If I didn't have my savings for this type of occasion I would be picking the ones I wanted most and kicking myself for not saving.

Plus I was recently promoted and working insane amounts of hours with no days off, so I figured WTH I need something to reward myself.
