Perhaps "end of day" was poor wording on my part. I don't suggest accommodating one particular time zone, but an overall extended time for any time zone which ends before 12 PM Poland time. (Poland would probably have that extra time as well, I'm sure they'd like it =) ) Either way I'l be sure to use GoG's contact forum for this.

I normally wait for everything to go on sale before picking out and making a final purchase. (it's also cheaper to make one payment in Paypal, since they take a certain percentage)

While I think they did add some games part way through, once we hit the "Finale" phase that should have been your cue to finish up your order. Also as drmike pointed out, there was a countdown. :P

There was a timer. You can't add hours to your current time to figure this out? Even better, the sale was 2 weeks. With a 3 day finalé. The failure is all yours. The world doesn't revolve around those of us in the Eastern time zone (it is currently EDT, not EST, btw), and they ran the sale till end of day.

Thanks. I didn't get a chance to see the countdown, but assumed the last day would go on until the final hours of that day. I'll check earlier next year. =)

I didn't see the timer. No I don't expect the world to revolve around one time zone, as I explained in a previous post. It was just a suggestion regardless of my personal circumstance.

You shouldn't have to wait for a year. The Fall/Halloween sale is just months away, and then there's the Winter/New Year's sale. You'll get plenty of opportunities. Not to mention the weekly sales, which occasionally have historical low discounts.

No they don't charge. Even though PayPal has an option to include transaction fees in the buyer's total, big companies like GOG don't operate that way. The customer pays the same amount no matter which form of payment is chosen.

There can be, of course, some transaction fees that banks have. The OP could have transferred some one time sum to his PayPal account, and then used that balance to pay for his games.

Also, GOG already operates exactly the way the OP wants. Most GOG sales end on Monday to give chance for people on different time zones to buy from sales which are meant to end at the end of the week usually. If one fails to take advantage of this already given extra time, giving even more extra time is just going to postpone the same problem by some hours.

And, I hope, prices will be cheaper with a lot more selection of newly added games!
